First things first. This is not a restaurant. You can sit out front at a few tables under umbrellas; a small carve-out of what otherwise would be street parking. This is authentic Italian sandwiches made to order, prepared takeout meals, and an Italian market. This place is the original family location on Gardena Boulevard. You may see other stores in Torrance or South Bay that say Giuliano's on them. Do not be fooled. Long story involving divorce, remarriage and death, but Gardena Boulevard is the only place that you will get the good stuff. What I drove 60 miles round trip to buy: 4 foot long muffaletta sandwich (a New Orleans invention, but by an Italian shopkeeper), Guilio sandwiches with extra Giuliano's vinaigrette dressing on the side, and (my favorite) Gaetano sandwiches. They also sell tons of torpedoes that you can just walk up to the counter and grab. They don't bother to wait for people to order them because they sell SO MANY every day. I also bought extra sliced pepperoncini to add to the sandwiches, and a jar of whole pepperoncini to eat as a side (with almost anything). The rule at my house is that you can never have too much pepperoncini. So go to Giuliano's, immediately go get in line at the back left corner of the store and order your sandwich (or 3), then look around and see what else strikes your fancy. If you regret it, there is no hope for you and you may as well eat all of your meals from Del Taco,...
Read moreI heard about this place from a friend of mine.... and this store is about a good 5 mins walk which is nothing but WOW First time here..... Wasn't knowing what I was walking into, but as soon as I step foot in the store I really felt like I was in little Italy. I was amazed at fresh ingredients authentic. Was wowed with the beverages, the cheeses, and then food to go ready for you if you are in a hurry, or if you order lunch to go.... I was very impressed with the menu and the whole place.... Also they served my Favorite Drink which is Ginger Beer but then I see they have other flavors I almost bought one of each lol but I disciplined myself lol..... Definitely have my taste buds everywhere. Overall I ordered the linguine and clam red and another order basic but soooo Delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs. For what's it's worth the price you pay is soooo worth it!!! First time there and definitely definitely coming back. Servers were amazing at helping if you need help, a little bit faced paced which is good but make sure you know what your getting and deciding before ordering.... Such an amazing place!! I ate one of the dish it was sooo delicious and I was full I couldn't eat another bite lol. I will be coming back soon to try other things and get ingredients!! Amazing!!! Thank you...
Read moreGiuliano's, Giuliano's, Giuliano's Wow! I used to frequent them often. Just for a sandwich, sometimes a brownie. I used to think they were pretty good. I hadn't stopped by in over a year. The quality of the Sandwiches, and The ineptitude of the Person making my sandwiches...has made me say NO thank you to eating there again 😕. I ordered 2 sandwiches all together. A corned beef melt, and a ham / cheese. I ordered the melt with Cheese, and Mustard only. The Ham, and cheese with American Cheese. SIMPLE right!!!???? Not so much, it seems. First of all their Quality of meats they use has gone straight down the tubes. I equate the quality of their meat to what you would get out of pre-packaged grocery store cold cuts. Not only that there was some shredded cabbage, or lettuce mixture put on my sandwich ( I'm guessing maybe it was coleslaw??) I ordered mustard / cheese only... Side note - I hate coleslaw!!! 😵 There was 0 American cheese on my ham sandwich... Swiss ( I believe ) instead.. in short I wasted almost $22.00 on Sandwiches that went 1/2 and Thrown in the trash. Shame on you Giuliano's!! But hey at least your bread seemed...
