Gateway Inn Gardena Los Angeles South — Hotel in Gardena

Okay first off, I did not think I was safe to sleep thru the night but it’s not bad. Behind the building Is a shopping center which you wouldn’t think it is a bad area. I stayed in the first floor which I personally found out later from the front desk the nice rooms are on the 3rd floor and the reason the ground floor rooms are worn down is because they get the most used, which makes sense. I needed first floor so I can imagine other guests also like the convince of first floor. So there was NO full Body mirror in my room So good thing I had already had my outfits picked out and knew what I looked like in them.

Yes there was a mini frig and microwave. The AC unit was old and dusty but you know what, it worked and that’s the main thing!

Window was unlocked because housekeeping had left it open to air out so had i noT checked myself THE windows were unlocked and not safe. When I arrived people where hanging out in the car like some lowlifes who probably rent the room to get on a plane and party like a junkie so that was sketchy at first but then those people left inside the room Or either left because I didn’t remember the car but I knew my prayer to God almighty the most high was going to protect us 🙌🏼🙏🏼 I gave $100 cash deposit and received it back at check out with no issue. I was here 2 nights. Very convenient to food and gas station. Regardless of the light stains from other reviews, This was a decent hotel and again the front desk said the better rooms are on the 3rd floor and 2nd. I stayed in the top floor room in the far back. The front desk guy said it was the quietest room, yet you do get traffic noise even here. |||| When walking to the room I thought uh oh, way back here and in the very back corner I worried the internet would not work but it works just fine even here.|||| The room was large, also has a microwave, mini fridge, full size ironing board, iron, and a table and four chairs. Lots of floor space too.|||| The bed looks like a King, was firm, and I slept well on it.|||| There is more than enough parking now, but the hotel isnt full. |||| There is a small pool in back, but its Dec and raining so nobody is there.|||| Breakfast had coffee, make your own waffles, Orange juice and individually packaged sweet rolls. Nothing else. No eggs, fruit, milk. People were asking for milk for kids but none. Creamer just the powder and only regular sugar. Diabetics||wont find much to eat here.|||| I dont expect much from cheap hotels, so in that regard I rate this average. No horror stories to report and no dangerous types lurking.
