Mediocre at best. “LaTreasure” , was soft spoken and seemed sweet, but not very in tune. When one of our burgers (the deluxe with mayo/no ketchup) came out with just meat, cheese, and mayo, I returned to the register to get it replaced with one with all the correct toppings. The cook showed the order to the “manager” who promptly grabbed it up and headed out front to tell me I had ordered it wrong. I showed her the receipt, and I wasn’t mad or even upset, just wanted the deluxe. She and the cook went back into the kitchen and she continued to “mouth” things about customers not knowing how to order. I didn’t respond to her and thanked her kindly when she returned with the correct burger.
As we were leaving, We spoke kind words to the cashier, who was playing on her phone. She stared at us blankly, even after my elderly mother told her thank you, and that her hamburger was delicious. My father suggested that something may be wrong with her or that she was “special”.
The hard truth? None of the employees has enough sense, common courtesy, nor good manners to work with the public.
There’s a reason why this parking lot is empty at lunch time. There is a reason why the Chik-Fil-A next door had a line out the door and a line of cars wrapped around the building. We had gone there first but there was nowhere to sit because they were so full. Next time we will be more patient with Chik-Fil-A.
*on a side note, It’s 5 months past due to change your sign.
This was our last visit to The Gardendale...
Read moreFound fraudulent charge on my credit card today. Called manager, Bliss, for explanation to be told it was from some old credit card batches that were SUPPOSEDLY never posted, possibly up to more than a year ago. Explained to her that this was unacceptable as some people would not have enough money in the account to cover an unexpected charge and incur NSFs. Plus it's too old to confirm. She raised her voice yelling at me, told me she is too busy to deal with my complaint, then hung up in my face. Had to call back 6 times before I could get her name, each time she was raising her voice at me and muting the phone during her name, threatening to have ME arrested for harassment over them stealing my money, and refused to put me in contact with the franchise owner. She had the nerve to tell me to go call 1-800-Dairy-Queen and tell it to corporate. So, that's just what I did....called corporate at their ACTUAL phone number, filed a fraud dispute with my bank, and if the franchise owner doesn't contact me after corporate specifically said they would send it to the owner, then I encourage everyone else among the thousands this has affected who suffer NSF charges to also file fraud complaints with their banks and demand Dairy Queen reimburse your bank fees.... even if you have to take it to small claims court. UPDATE ---- My bank just confirmed this was not legit in less than 2...
Read moreThis is by far the worst DQ I've ever been to. Walked in and waited for 3 minutes before anyone at the counter even acknowledged me...and I was the only customer! The cashier had to be new because he was a bit slow on the register. No big deal there. We all have to learn some time. He messed up my order and forgot my drink, but added a blizzard...I didn't know he didn't charge me for the drink, and asked for my cup. He didn't hear me or ignored me. They're right there on the counter so I reached for my cup. The manager stepped up and told the cashier that he needed to hand the customers their cups. The cashier said he didn't charge me for it. The manager looked at the register, I guess to review the COMBO WITH DRINK, and then told me I didn't order it, and told me I needed to pay for it. The food came out somewhat cold, even though I was reassured it would be made to order... They have the self serve fountain drink dispenser with all the extra flavors, and every time I've been in there, they are always out of the new flavors. Just basic cola. What's the point? DQ should be embarrassed that this person represents...
