Waffle House — Restaurant in Gardendale

On Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 8:40 a.m. I was greeted at this location by a sweet older lady named Mrs. Rose. She directed me to place my to go order behind 2 ladies, paying for their order at the register. After the ladies paid for their order the two ladies working the register (one short - younger) (one thin - older) did not even acknowledge I existed. On not one, but two different times Mrs. Rose pat me on the back and said "okay now girls come get her to go order. Finally, the thin older lady, looked up asked if I placed already. I said no ma'am (still being polite at this point) and she walks off and seats other people that came in after me. I stayed another minute and told Mrs. Rose to have a good day. She pat me on my arm and said I'm sorry. There are several reasons I am detailed in this review.

1.) To make sure that personalities like Mrs. Rose greeting with kindness and care are not overshadowed by poor customer service of other staff in the future.

2.) I want to make sure that if these reviews are actually looked at by Waffle House Corporate offices they know the date, time, location and who was working to address issue.

The server was rude. She acted like she was mad we even got there. I’ve alwats been seated but this time someone in the kitchen side just told me to have a seat in an empty booth. I orderes coffe and orange juice for myself and 2 orange juices for my toddlers, I’ve always gotten orange juices for them here and I always get them in a small cup with a lid for them to drink. They gave be bottled orange juice and and all I asked was if they didnt have small cups with lids so I could pour the drink, and the server said, “No, our orange juices come like that.” Like really ?? Every other server I have had in any waffle house ever always puts the orange juice in small cups for my kids!! I also asked for a high chair and she looked back at where the high chairs were supposed to be and I swear she was about to tell me to het up and get one, 😳😳 She quickly realized that there were none there and said that they only had one which was already in use at the time. The part that got me was when she was about to tell me to get it myself 😅 Whats the point of the server then? Why would anyone tip a server telinh them to get things by themselves?😅 The worst part is that it’s the one closest to where I just moved. 🤬 Wont be...

Ordered cheese eggs this morning the whites were not cooked all the way, that or someone put runny nose droppings in my food. No not happy with the cook and manager who were just paying attention to each other and not cooking the food. THE manager ordered me to go to the cash register to order. "Go to the cash register and order there." No "please" "if you don't mind". Now see this wouldn't be big thing but if my eggs had of been cooked correctly I would have just dismissed it but then my grits were not cooked all the way, so not going to digest. Then because the eggs were runny my raisin toast was soggy. Who likes soggy bread. The waitress was the only one who recieves praise here she even gave me extra apple butter before I even asked.
