Today I ordered a large extra cheese and black olive pizza from this restaurant. The person who took my order sounded rather disinterested in my business, but managed to muddle his way through taking my order and accepting payment. I don't know whether he's just having an off day, or just high, as I have heard good things about this place, so I decided to check them out. However, that being said, that was the ONLY reason I have to give them four stars, as their pizza is very good, very nicely prepared with a good edible crust to enjoy. I was NOT disappointed. The delivery driver was courteous, and as prompt as can be on New Year's Eve, and was very helpful. No complaints there. Overall, a good experience, I would order from them again, and I think you should to. Give them a try.
Update: Today I ordered fries and a chicken salad sub. One of my pet peeves is failing to salt the fries the moment it comes out of the fryer, and the lack of ketchup. Other places give you a cup of ketchup. Not here. You get one foil packet of ketchup. No dipping cup here. Sad face. The chicken salad was just okay. Chicken bits mingled with mayo interspersed with massive chunks of chicken so that when you bite into the sandwich, half of it comes out with it. Some may like that, I really don't. I prefer chicken evenly chopped rather than randomly pulled apart like your grandmother made it between smoking her 100's. I don't hate this place, I really don't. Its not the worst I've ever had, but far from the best. I just want them to do better. I want to feel like they care I just paid $30 for a grinder with some fries....
Read moreKudos to the owner!! I ordered a small cheese pizza tonight and when I went in to pick it up, there was a couple in front of me that asked to talk to the owner. Typically, that means that they want to complain about the food, service, delivery, etc. Not even close. The couple explained that they had placed a order the night before and an emergency had come up so they didn't pick up or pay for the food and they were there to graciously take care of their bill from last night. The owner refused to take their money and said "emergencies happen, I understand, no charge" and even joked that he took the order home to eat it himself to make the customers feel more at ease. What a wonderful gesture on the owner's part and something that you rarely see anymore. His generosity, kindness and customer service really impressed me and made my day! As an added bonus, the pizza that I had ordered was incredible. The sauce was fantastic and it was cooked to perfection. Gardner has a lot of good pizza places, but West Broadway Pizza just became my favorite. Definitely worth checking out and highly...
Read moreI ordered a pizza and 2 subs for my family at 5:47p.m. called to make sure they got the right adress at 7:17. The person who answered the phone said 45 minutes when I ordered. The person who answered the phone the 2nd time I called said "it should've been there by now." 15 minutes later it showed up. I ordered a veggie sub with mayo and hotts. I pretty much had a tomato and olive sandwich. There was no mayo, no hotts, skimpy lettuce and like 2 little slices of bell pepper that had brown spots on them. The bread was soggy from the tomatoes. Where's the pickles and onions? Are you guys broke or just lazy? Needless to say I think I may have skimped on the tip. I might owe you 10 cents, but your delivery guy pretty much threw the food at us, took the money and ran, didn't grab the quarter lol. Plus the hot food wasn't so hott, the pizza was dry, the steak and cheese was dry, barely any cheese and no hotts, which is what was ordered. Not worth the wait or the $35 I dished out for it. C'mon guys step up your game before...
