Patriots Pizza & More — Restaurant in Gardner

My wife and I live in Athol, MA, a town that has more than its fair share of pizza places. Despite that, we prefer driving to Gardner for Patriot Pizza. My go-to order is the Patriot Combo—it's incredibly satisfying and a real treat for a pasta lover like me. I also enjoy their cheeseburger grinder and Big Mac pizza. My wife loves their steak and cheese calzone. If I weren’t trying to cut back on carbs, we’d probably visit much more often! Patriot Pizza is at the top of our list for takeout on cheat days.

Service: 5/5 While I don’t know the staff personally or by name, they always treat us with kindness and seem genuinely appreciative of our business.

Location: 4/5 They’re conveniently located right off Route 2. The plaza is easy to enter, but getting out can be tricky if you need to turn left. There's plenty of parking available.

Delivery: N/A I don’t live close enough to order delivery, so I can’t rate this.

Cleanliness: 5/5 Every time we’ve visited, the place has been spotless.

Quality: 5/5 The food at Patriot Pizza is a guilty pleasure of mine. It's always satisfying and filling.

Price: 4/5 As of 2/13/24, a large cheese pizza at Patriot Pizza is $14.99, while the average large cheese pizza at three nearby competitors is $13.91.

Ordering Online: 5/5 The online ordering process is simple and reliable. I’ve never had any issues. One time, we couldn’t make it before they were about to close, and when we called, the owner assured us they’d keep the store open for us.

Food was great, service was not. I knew they were busy and it would take a while for our food to be delivered. After waiting almost 2 hours, I called to check up on it since the app told me they had delivered it but I didn’t see it anywhere. I wasn’t angry or anything but when I called, whoever answered the phone was rude, dismissive, and aggressive. He kept telling me to relax, that it was fine and there was an issue with the phone and the driver was on the way. I went to ask him how did he know which order I was and the guy literally hung up on me. I waited another 20 minutes before my food came. I was nothing but nice and I completely understand the food service industry. I understand the dinner rush, even though it was a Sunday. The driver came disheveled and profusely apologizing but I know it wasn’t his fault at all. He was so frazzled he almost forgot the rest of my order. Thankfully the food was hot and good but I will not be eating here again. There is plenty of other places in Gardner that have better food and nicer employees. They are very rude..nobody helps when u ask. Im disabled they treat me very badly n I look disabled...bum leg..in brace forever..n a cane ..have wheelchair wont get in til cant walk well had bad day car full campimg stuff including food was 90 out..went out to leave battery dead calked triple a and they came n diagnosed it battery Def..but all starter good n alternator good..but he said had keep running for 40 minutes ..then get a new one well had go had food go bad...so drove to Walmart had them pick out a battery n I thought 90 bucks plus them keeping my battery..90 bucks should been enough they did the job before telling me how much .I had more money but not with me ..at the car part of Walmart their card machine to pay was broken so had to walk all way front store find out that atm was out order so had hard time walking fell into something lost my cane n ended up getting kicked out by cops telling me if come back get arrested but have be served was not kies..did nothing wrong I...
