DING TEA GARLAND — Restaurant in Garland

My siblings and I go to this location a lot and we've been provided good service except for today. I don't mean to leave this bad review to spite the business but to hope the owners will see this and take actions because of it.

My sister ordered 2 green tea yakults and it tasted like water, like literally no sweetness in there. See, my sister and I are huge fans of Yakult so we've tried a bunch of Yakult drinks from different boba shops so we know which ones are good, it just so happens we wanted to give Ding Tea's Yakult creations a try and end up being disappointed.

So my sister went back to the store to ask if they can replace our drinks since we don't like it (one of the 2 drinks are unopened and the other one my sister took 1-2 sips). And the staff said they cannot make a new one even if we're not satisfied with our drink. Then my sister asked, "Even if it tastes like water?" Then the staff replied, "Yeah, because the green tea yakult don't have sugar added in there but the other flavors have flavorings so it's sweet" Well, we get it.. but the staff should've warn us that it doesn't have sugar in the first place. I know spending around $12 for 2 boba drinks + tip are not that much but it's hard earned money. We paid for those drinks and we deserve to be provided satisfaction with whatever we buy. I just don't get why you cannot remake a bad drink and give the customers' their money's worth. Just so disappointing.

We ended up throwing away both of the drinks to the trash and decided to go to Sharetea instead to make us feel better. I don't think we wanna go back there anymore.. not until they impove their...

Love the drinks but the customer service could do with some improvements. Everytime I go there the male cashier will be on his phone and I have to wait till he's done for him to take my order. Or while making orders the employees will be on the phone making tik tok videos. Not a very professional staff. I understand it's a boba tea place and a relax atmosphere but at least be professional when you are supposed to be. UPDATE: Went back cause my daughter wanted another tea. Everywhere was closed so not much option. Very bad customer service! After I order my drinks and walked away my daughter waited at the cash register to make her order. The girl turned away and ignored my daughter. Another person had to come up and asked if she wanted to order. WTH! My order was done so we waited for hers. It's not busy. No orders coming in or customers around 9 pm. Saw the employees on the phone/computer. Went up to the employees and they asked more boba? I said no. When you walk in, the set up is beautiful with modern decor and an open concept layout. The place is huge with plenty of seating. The atmosphere was nice, up until we got to the person taking orders. The first words out of his mouth when I asked what a snack was made of was "the ingredients are on the back", in a demeaning tone, and it only got worse after that. So much so that we ended up leaving without ordering because of the disrespectful and nonchalant attitude of the people working up front. We made sure to mention this was our first time coming here and letting them know that the menu is immense and it's hard to decide. There was no inkling of recommendations or knowledge of what the drinks were made of by one of the people up front. I'm sure there was nothing personal about the way they handled us as new customers, but you lost our business because of your attitudes.
