Milas Tacos — Restaurant in Garland

Called an order ahead 20ish minutes before they closed we hadn’t ate all day and really were craving Mexican food but we’ve always had bad experiences and haven’t found a place with good authentic food. We saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. Service was great the guy who took our order went above and beyond taking our order to our car once it was ready. He was very nice exactly how he was over the phone. So definitely great customer service!

Once we got home to eat, first bite we knew it was about to be amazing!! We got the burrito de asada,torta de asada, 2 tacos de tripa and quesadilla de al pastor. We ordered more than usual one because we were starving and two because every food truck we’ve been to they always are stingy and the food they give us sucks. Not the situation at all with Milas Tacos! The food was absolutely delicious and we in fact did not need the quesadilla at all. My husband could barely finish his torta. This is the first place ever that I can say has AUTHENTIC Mexican food!! The rice,beans even the meat is exactly like my mom makes it! We loved everything the salsas were really good too! First green salsa I’ve tried that actually has a good kick to it!! Me and the misses we're looking for Tex-Mex or Mexican food to grab a bite to eat because in Houston we would go to food trucks or go to local spots and have a blast. We found this on Google search and decided to drive up to it since it wasn't that far. It was well worth the experience.

Walking up the food truck, it smelt amazing so you knew you were in for something delightful. We ordered five tacos (3 steak, 2 chicken). This came with grilled onions cilantro and your sauces. We also ordered a steak quesadilla and a birria taco. It took a while to make but the wait wasn't bad and we used a small time to chit chat. But one forgot our food the smell was so intoxicating we couldn't wait to get home to eat.

My boyfriend and I drove past this place going to dollar tree and noticed the truck! This is our neighborhood so we wanted give it a try…. Service was excellent! You can tell they truly love what they’re doing. Off that alone I would give 5 stars but the chef wanted me to leave an “honest review” which I love they are open to constructive feedback. We had 2 steak and 2 chicken tacos on flour and corn. I would give the tacos a strong 7. I don’t think all the grill onions are needed but they definitely add great flavor. The steak and chicken both had good flavor but in my opinion could use just a little more flavor that sticks. It could also be a little less greasy being that the tortillas are so soft HOWEVER I didn’t mind any of these and I will DEFINITELY be back because they were very good and solid tacos.
