I have ordered 5 custom cakes from this bakery over the last 10 years or so. The first one was an adorable cake for a baby shower. Unfortunately, every cake after that was wrong in someway. Misspelled word, wrong size, wrong color, wrong decoration, etc... so after the last one, I decided I would just keep buying the occasional single piece, because like I said, the cake itself is SO good, but to get my custom cakes elsewhere.
Well, two days before my 50th birthday, I was driving by and spur of the moment, pulled in, and was just going to buy a piece, and decided to order a cake for myself. Lol. Figured if it was lackluster like the previous cakes, it was fine... I would have a bunch of pieces of 'cake'... lol.
Anyway, I had zero idea what I wanted, but told the lady I liked butterflies and she started suggestions. I picked colors and the size. She did the rest.... and I think perhaps that might be the trick. I shouldn't tell them what I want, but instead ask what they suggest... therefore getting what they do best!
The cake was absolutely beautiful! Pictures don't do it justice. I had to take a video of it to show everyone. I hated cutting into it.. but as always... it tastes delicious!
Tango Bakery went a long way to redeeming themselves! thank you for the beautiful cake!🥰🦋

Today I attempted, for the 3rd time, to go in, and all three times... which were all on different days of the week... and always within 30-40 min of their ""closing"" time ... and all three times the door was locked... with the OPEN neon sign on, all the inside lights on, and several employees inside... none of which even acknowledged me.
For a business that already makes it difficult to do business with them, by only accepting cash/zelle (for $100++ cakes)... you would think that they would not want to turn away paying customers who are standing, with cash in hand, at their door... during their Google/online/posted literally neon flashing OPEN hours.

Read moreI’m extremely disappointed in my experience with Tango Bakery. I placed and fully paid for a custom cake order months in advance for a special event that was scheduled on a Sunday. A week before the event, I was informed the bakery would no longer be open on Sundays — but was assured that someone would be available from 9:00am to 12:00pm for order pickups.
We arrived at 9:40am and waited outside the bakery until 11:20am — nearly two hours — and no one showed up. We weren’t alone either — another couple was also outside waiting for their cake, equally frustrated. We called every phone number associated with the bakery, sent texts, and messaged across Instagram and Facebook — no response.
It wasn’t until after 12pm that I got a reply on Instagram, simply saying I’d receive a call. That never happened. I had to keep messaging just to see if anyone would actually come. Eventually, someone opened the bakery around 2:00pm — five hours later than promised. No apology, no explanation.
Our event started at 4:00pm, and we had to scramble with Dallas traffic just to make it in time. To make matters worse, the cake wasn’t even what I ordered. The flavor was okay, but I had requested a blue ribbon bow made of cloth — instead, they used the cheapest-looking plastic ribbon. It looked nothing like what I asked for. The first photo is what I received; the second is what I ordered.
This was an important event, and I had placed my trust in this bakery months in advance. The lack of professionalism, zero communication, and disregard for customer time is unacceptable. I won’t be ordering from here again. They seriously need to improve their communication and...

And no delivery available Weird right? Then when I went in to make a cake order I promise once I gave them my name and phone number I don’t know why did everyone start too give me a cold attitude no smiles no laughs just a straight face and no comments or feed back just cold i paid $230for a cake that came out with designs made with a toothpick And a dried up cake and frosting I’ll never understand what went wrong because I always gave them shout outs on my ig I always recommended them too everyone I know I never gave them a problem and always complimented them on their work, and every cake I’ve made with them always cost $200 and more not trying too sound like I am the number one customer and deserve better treatment, no!!
