I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment following a recent visit to your Salsa Verde location at 3235 S Garland Ave, Garland, TX 75041. My family of five dined at this location, and we spent approximately $80 — only to have a deeply upsetting and unprofessional experience.
A woman named Elisa, also referred to as “Isa” and identified as the manager, was extremely rude and dismissive when we brought up an issue with our order. We had clearly requested a change, yet two tortas were brought to the table — a mistake we immediately pointed out. When we mentioned the error, the waitress notified Elisa, who then approached our table.
Rather than listening or working to resolve the situation, she insisted the order was correct and refused to make any adjustments. She told us the food was made and could not be refunded. We calmly explained the mistake was on her end, yet she continued to argue — even going so far as to call my daughter a liar. This type of behavior is completely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, another family approached us to share that they had experienced the exact same treatment from Elisa during their visit. That speaks volumes.
Spending nearly $80 for such an unpleasant experience is extremely disappointing. Most reputable restaurants will kindly correct an honest mistake. Elisa’s aggressive and disrespectful behavior reflects very poorly on your business.

The service is usually okay but this time it RUINED the experience. I asked for four birria tacos and two tacos with hand made tortillas one pastor one huitlacoche. a flan, a Mexican coke and una agua de melón. They gave me a different protein that tasted like wet dog food, and they forgot to ring in the flan, so I went up to the counter and told them they messed up my taco, and I asked for a flan with my order. The man at the counter checked the order and said they hadn’t rang one in. when they brought out the second taco they forgot to add the handmade tortilla which they up-charge 1.50 for. I asked them to comp the flan since the messed up my order, and they still gave me push back. Then to top it off I had some girl try to interrupt (was not management) the conversation I was having with the man at the counter, at this point I asked to talk to the manager which was beside the man at the counter at the left cash register. (With who I placed my order). The girl kept trying to interject and asked if I was trying to change my taco again. I said “please mind ur business cuz this is going to cause more misinformation” she was trying to escalate the situation and gave me attitude and a look, unprofessional behavior. After waiting 23 minutes (yes not an exaggeration) for food we ordered at the counter, we finally went up to one of the ladies working the food tickets and asked about our food as we saw plenty of others after us getting their food. She went to the kitchen area and looked like she couldn’t find our ticket. Finally she came back around and asked what we had ordered and we showed her our ticket. She said “oh they are starting to prepare it just wait”. We told her we had been waiting almost 30 minutes already! Of course she didn’t care, and said it was coming out. We continued to wait, until the 30 minute mark hit, we couldn’t take it anymore and found the manager and it just so happened that the food was finally done. The lady brings the food with a bunch of flies on it that had been flying around from inside the restaurant. We told the manager there was no way that after waiting that long that they bring us food with flies on it, it was almost comical. We asked for a refund because it was ridiculous at this point and the manager still tried to charge us for the drinks. He said “you drank it already” and I told him that it was the least they owed us for having waiting a little over 30 minutes at this point. He refunded begrudgingly and gave us a refund receipt with no apology or nothing.
