Uncle Wing Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Garland

We ordered Uncle Wing's last night and I was taken by surprise it was under "New Management". Anytime I find out a restaurant is under New Management, I cringe to find out whether it's for the best or the worst. This time it was definitely for the worst. First off, I would like to say that the lady that took my order over the phone was very nice, and she did a great job at making sure the order was correct when we picked it up. That being said, the way the food tastes is what will leave the impression. For some reason I felt like eating Sweet and Sour Pork instead of the Chicken Fried rice I normally order. Wrong decision! As soon as I opened the box, I could tell the pork looked a little over fried. As soon as I put the pork in my mouth, it didn't taste all that bad. As I kept chewing, the taste of old oil mixed with, what I thought tasted like some kind of soap, overwhelmed my pallet. I thought that maybe it was just that one, so what do I do? I put another one in my mouth. Second wrong decision I made within a 30 minute time frame. My father in law ordered Chicken fried rice, and my brother in law ordered Orange chicken. They both said their food tasted fine, but my pork was unbearable. Not sure if I'll ever go here again, no matter how cheap...

I live in downtown Garland and have had several deliveries made to my apartment. The delivery has always been on time and one driver apologized for being 5 minutes late, you dont hear of that very often! Very good food in large portions that make several meals! I 1st started going to this restaurant 1986 it was owned by somebody else the new owners have owned it 15 maybe 20 years now they're really nice people they're a little scared of covid though so they're still not open for in restaurant seating but to go orders they will come to their front door and take your water or you can call it in the food for this type of restaurant is good quality and I always seem to get Fresh food you will wait a little longer for them to cook it because there's very few things except rice that they pre cook so if you Want some quick and easy Chinese food that's not gonna make you sick or break your budget this is a good place to go right here in this part of Garland good luck everyone and have a good dinner thanks for reading my...
