My wife and I were planning to see a movie at the Garrettsville theater on a weeknight, and she found Sean's Pub and Eatery online when looking for a place to stop for dinner before the movie. The restaurant/pub is in the main floor of a very handsome old building that once was some important official's home. (The dining area is not large, so if you plan to go on a weekend, you may want to call and reserve a table.) Our waiter was welcoming, funny, and very attentive. He encouraged us to sit in the little area in front of the fireplace which was perfect, as it was December and the fire was beautiful to look at as well as making for a cozy, warm spot to enjoy our dinner. We each ordered one of their specialty burgers with their home made potato chips. The burgers were the best we've had in a LONG time; very thick and juicy with lots of flavor on nice buns, and cooked just the way we wanted them. The potato chips were great while hot, but got a bid hard when they cooled down. Probably would choose the fresh-cut fries if we had it to do over. I had a dark draft beer, and my wife had the coffee; both excellent. The only reason I don't give 5 stars was the cost was $9.50 each for just the burgers/chips, which seems a bit pricey to us. With the beer, coffee and an Irish cream cake to go, plus tax & the tip, things came close to $40. (We believe in tipping waitstaff well, so your bill may come to less...) They offer quite an extensive menu; the Shepherd's pie sounded enticing, as well as several of the other dishes. Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and do plan to go back next time we see a film...
Read moreDinner here was pretty disappointing. Service was good at the beginning other than our waitress not wearing a mask the whole time. After ordering we saw our appetizers sitting at the pickup window for almost 10 minutes while our waitress was on her phone and talking with other workers. About 5 minutes later our food comes and my girlfriend got another tables order. (there were only 1 table there other than us at the time) She then takes both our orders back and brings my original plate and my girlfriends order. I check out my burger to make sure it is made right after the other things that went wrong. It was pretty burnt and missing the dijon mayo. I then ask for a side of it since there wasnt any on the burger. After she brings that we eat and then ask for the check. Once we get the check I realize I was actually charged for a side of sauce?? even though my burger was supposed to come with this. Pretty disappointing...
Read moreThis place is awesome, great vibe. Went with my family of 4 and all the food was great. I had the Fish n shrimp plate with chips, daughter got the cheese quesadillas, son had the western burger, and wife had the sweet Guinness burger. As a desert we shared the Irish cream cake. All had house made chips and they came with a homemade french onion dip. Everything was very tasty and made to order. It didn't take to long to get the food either. The only downside to the place is indoor seating for more than 2 people. We got there at the right time because there was a 4 top near the front. There was another spot we didn't initially see, and a few 2 tops. There was a party of some elderly ladies having a good time. We aren't drinkers, but I can tell you they had a decent selection. But the food was great and not to bad of price. If you are in the area,...
