So ever since human being changed into canal I've been going to that place non-stop everyday. They serve the best coffee all of the food that I've tasted was great so I just keep coming there that's like my new coffee spot. However today I ordered a 30 below chai coffee, it was large, I was told that the total was $6 and some change. I handed the lady at the window closest to the Bojangles a $5 bill and my card fast forward it like 2-3 hours I checked my bank account because I get notifications and see that I was charged the whole $6 to my card, so I called the store and see what happened like why my whole heart was charged for the $6 when I gave a $5 bill and my card, and I was told that because I didn't specify they thought that I was given $5 as a tip and so they charged the whole card. First of all, I have never went to a facility where they told me I have to specify whether I was giving a tip or I wanted half and half on card and cash. Secondly the lady told me I should have specified, no you are the facility you are supposed to specify if you're not sure you need to ask me if I want to do half and half do not assume I am giving you a tip if I gave you $5 in cash and then my card when my total was $6 and some change so for this experience I am going to give this store a 1 ā you all need to train your employees to know the difference between asking if this is a tip when you're giving cash in a card and just assuming that it's a tip please don't ever have your employees assume that a customer is just giving them a tip they need to ask that's the professional thing to do not assume and take somebody's money and throw it in a tip jar and then charge their card the whole amount without asking. Decided to come back to Canal and try again and I should of known better, due to my coffee being made wrong I wanted a refund girl at window said No and I contacted corporate who also said no!! This place is a whole joke! Canal needs to go away THAKK GOD FOR...

Iāve gone through here everyday for almost a year and I have seen 6 different managers. SIX. The barista turn over rate is outrageous. From what Iāve heard from some of my favorite baristas is this company loves to let people go at the slightest turn.
Canal coffee, invest in your employees. I promise youāll see better results than posting fake reviews. Iāve met so many amazing people here that always get my drink perfect and next day theyāre gone. Iāve been here many times and normally my coffee is good. Today I went and ordered a 16oz iced choc macadamia nut breve with vanilla cold foam. When I got home and tasted it, it didnāt taste right at all. Almost like it had a hint of vinegar.
