It's difficult for me to write a bad review about any independent business. Because I know personally how difficult it is to start and keep a business going. So please keep in mind that your experience will be different than mine. And I do say right up front that you should try Cavendish. And if you like it go again. There are many reasons to like Cavendish. There is a wide variety of beer styles available. The bartender was very nice and quick in bringing the beer. Me and two of my buddies had the "nachos party" as the munchies attacked us. This is an unique and very tasty, combination of corn chips (Fritos) with white queso, beef crumbles, green peppers, pico, and sour cream. We had the Philly Cheesesteak pizza. Which was also very tasty. We devoured it. The food is a goid companion for the beer. Yes the beer. That is why we were there. We had the Oktoberfest, Bohemian Pilsner, Vienna Lager, the Grizzly Brown Ale and the Chester Street Porter. All the beers, except for the Porter were a might too hoppy for us. The Porter was very good. They have lots of other beers to try. The next tine we go back we'll have sone of the others. That's what is really nice about having choices. Go back and try again. I do suggest that you give Cavendish a try. I think you'll find something you will like. The beer is fresh, tasty and cold. That's a winning...
Read moreBeing a vegetarian because of my religious beliefs in Jainism, I had clearly mentioned them that I want my Quesedilla with plain cheese and Jalepenos, we made sure they knew we were looking for vegetarian food options.
After the order came, I ate one slice as I knew there wouldn't be any issue.
After that one slice, I was just curious what is in it as I couldn't taste the Jalepenos.
I could see something that didn't have a cheese texture. And, it was chicken.. my friends could tell.
How can the management make such a mistake. In my whole life I haven't eaten chicken, and they were blaming it on lack of communication.
How can they be so cold about making such a basic mistake.
Very hurt.
Please be more considerate for vegetarians and have better communication with your chefs.
Also, the basic you'll can do is be inclusive for vegetarians. And not assume everyone in the country eats meat. This is the least expected from the great USA. I'm still shook...
Read moreCavendish is the epitome of a diverse and all-inclusive establishment! Extremely pet friendly… in fact, The running joke among the staff and crew is the pets are welcome and appreciated, people are tolerated 😏
I believe that Cavendish is way ahead of its time, but only because, all due respect, Gastonia needs to step up their game and step into the 21st century… there are so many good people that frequent this brewery, people that love and accept others as they are and without question nor judgement, and the world, especially Gaston County, could use a lot more of that! The beers are award winning and the pizzas are unique and tasty, plus weekly events like Trivia and Music Bingo always make for return customers!
So if you’re on the fence about it because of something you heard or read, come in and see for yourself what a gem this place is… you just might...
