Very disappointed in the staff's rude behavior.
I was on a limited break from work, so I called and ordered my food (so it would be ready when I arrived). I walked from my store (a block away), paid for my food, sat down and starting eating it - when the girl from the register came over and told me I HAD TO LEAVE!
WHAT?!?
She said I HAD TO LEAVE because I had ordered my food before I arrived so I WASN'T ALLOWED to eat it there. There were only two tables occupied outside at the time (at 2:00 pm). "What?" I asked. "I bought it here but I can't eat it here?" I've ate there many times, so I thought there must have been a misunderstanding. I asked to speak to the manager. He came over and I tried to explain why I had pre-ordered my food (from them), and I was sitting down to eat it - then he RUDELY interrupted me to say that "The tables were reserved, and he wasn't listening to me!" "What?" I asked. [As you can see from the photo, there were many available tables.]
"Reserved? There isnt a reserved sign on any of the tables".
He yelled at me - "The tables are reserved for food in plates!"
What????? Should I have asked for my food to be put in a plate?
He was shouting loudly at me (which resulted in me shouting back).
This situation was completely uncalled for. Had they not interrupted me, I would have already been finished eating my meal. I was completely taken off-guard. It was very embrassing.
I told him to just refund my money.
As I said, I've ate there many times but unfortunately, due to the way I was (mis)treated - that was the last time I will be dining there. The employee and the managers rude behavior was terrible. I can't understand this insane policy, if it truly is a policy, of not allowing you to eat the food you bought there - because the tables are "RESERVED for FOOD in a...
Read moreI am never one to write reviews, but I have been a regular at Pita Wheel many times and have always loved the atmosphere, however after our experience today I will not return. We took our friends and their two small children to Pita Wheel for dinner, and we were sat outside since it was the only seating available for a party of 6, which is totally fine. The weather was looking a little rough, but it wasn’t supposed to rain for another hour so we thought we’d be okay. We ordered our food and very shortly after our food came out, it began to downpour. We were able to get the two kids and all of the belongings and carriers in, but our food got absolutely soaked. No one came to help us carry our food in, and once we were inside, no one acknowledged us for several minutes. After they finally acknowledged us they were unable to seat us inside, and we decided to leave. They didn’t offer to remake our food to go, since we all only took a few bites before it was literally swimming in rainwater, and then the waitress asked if we wanted the check to pay for the ruined food. We explained that we didn’t feel it was fair to pay for food we didn’t get to eat, and the waitress said “well why didn’t you grab the food when you came in?” After we got the kids and their diaper bags/carriers inside, the food was already soaked and not to mention we stood in the waiting area for several minutes with no help so we wouldn’t have and a place to put the food anyway. They did eventually comp the food, but we then continued to wait for another 10 minutes while waiting for someone to take the check for the drinks we had. I haven’t ever experienced bad service at pita wheel previously, and will almost always recommend it to people, but after this we will not be back or recommend to any of our friends. It was very...
Read moreThis place was recommend to me by a subscriber from my YouTube channel which I randomly do Food Reviews on. The subscriber stated that he goes to this place a few times a week and told me that since I hand never been I had to go. So now curiosity set in and I had to know how it was. So on Friday I made the trip across town, camera in tow to Dallas, NC where I find this gem of a place. The Pita Wheel, when I pulled up there was a old school antique vibe and that definitely transitioned inside, this place had a vibe like no other. Fresh aromas in the air, customers enjoying their meals, friendly smiling staff eager to take your order and ready to assist you with and menu questions you may have. The Pita Wheel is worth the trip just to see some of the cool pictures and signs they have around the restaurant, but then we get to the food... The food is fresh, hot and delicious its almost dreamy. While there I ate the Chicken bacon ranch Philly and fries, let me tell you I was a bit hesitate at first. But when I picked up that soft warm pita filled with flavorful chicken, delicious bacon, creamy cheese and topped with a drizzle of golden ranch. The taste will knock your socks off as your taste buds explode in excitement and joy! My visit here was very very pleasant and I will be going back, If you're looking for great food and a awesome vibe search no...
