Came out and attended a "Girls Night Out" event with Male Strippers as the highlight. I took off a star for the event itself. Nothing against the venue AT ALL. I felt like the event itself, the host in particular, could of been a bit more professional as far as addressing the audience. There were a couple of times were he addressed some ladies in the audience as "That Black Chick." Which I thought was a little inappropriate. Also, their music choice was horrible. A bunch of techno tacky mix ups. Other than that, the bartenders and staff that were apart of the venue itself were amazing. This was my first time here (Never knew Gastonia had something like this). Drinks were delish, snacks were good and decently priced. The bathrooms were PRISTINE. I have never been to any bar/venue that had such clean bathrooms ! The space itself was a bit small, I would suggest coming early if you are attending an event to make sure you have a guaranteed seat. I will def. be back, just not for any more GNO events -_-! Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMichael and the rest of the team at the rooster definitely make you feel welcomed into their establishment. This is a unique venue, in which, its positioned primely in the heart of downtown Gastonia with access to tons of other local establishments. Each time we have visited the Rooster for a show we have never been let down. From shows for up and coming bands, to major festivals itās never been a bad time. Parking and access to the venue is easy and safe as well as security for anyone thinking it may be a dive venue it is NOT. They make sure to have security on staff daily to make absolutely sure their patrons are safe and have a family friendly experience. They have fantastic drink prices and some of the cleanest bathrooms Iāve seen at a music venue ever! I HIGHLY recommend you stop on by and say hello to Michael and the rest of āThe cocky bunchā ;) (not to say they are cocky, but if you know you know haha) and have a great time out supporting local artists...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to check it out on Wednesday because it was open mic and my step son was going to be playing with his friends so that was the main reason for going but ended up being a great little place, the only reason I didn't give a rating for food is because we didn't eat anything at Rooster (but they made good drinks) and everything else was nice for a pub/bar type atmosphere. If you like live music or you just want to bring your instrument to play solo or even with some of the players, singers, it's definitely a good little bar and everyone is real friendly, so stop by and check it out, and if you sing, pick an instrument, or if you can play anything else, then you should give it a chance, I had a great time and I know that...
