Salsarita's Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Gastonia

Ate here for dinner May 5 between 7 and 8pm. Waited in the long line for about 30 minutes before getting to order, which is fine I understand they were short staffed. Once we made it to the front to order there was one girl starting and finishing everyone’s orders AND she was having to cook shrimp on the stove behind her. She was already busy and clearly had her hands full but another worker, a girl who appeared to act like she was in charge of everything, kept demanding that she start on this to go order and put a trash bag in the trash can, but wasn’t helping with anything other than bagging to go orders answering the phone maybe twice and demanding things from others. For instance, I ordered shrimp tacos but the shrimp wasn’t ready yet. She said it would only be another minute or 2. Once it finished she poured the shrimp into the container on the bar and began to put some on my tacos when the demanding girl shouted that she needed to put some shrimp on this other to go order, that came in way after us by the way, because he had been waiting FOREVER. It was really starting to bother me how demanding that little girl was and I understand being short handed with many tasks to do and customers to feed can become stressful, but if she was the manager or lead on duty whoever is above her should reconsider because all of those employees were doing the best they could and moving as quickly as possible. My husband who was also with me getting dinner last night is a general manager for a express car wash in Charlotte NC and has been in management for 4 years. He said it was clear she couldn’t compose herself and shouldn’t be in charge. He also mentioned anyone who cracks like that under stress isn’t built for a leading position because that is who the other employees lean on but yet she was leaning on them to do everything. She didn’t have a name tag so I’m not sure of her name, but I could point her out in person. Food was yummy and we will eat there again, but I can’t promise that next time we eat here and she’s being hateful to her staff again that I won’t call...

0/10 Service: Bad Food: Not edible Problems: I drove through the line at 7:30 at night I asked for just a burrito with a tea, person said that they did not have tea. The manager comes to the speaker and says we will get you tea. I also said no queso and no guac and no chips they add it anyways and still charge me for it I ended up paying 14 dollars for something that I didn't eat and didn't want.

The burrito: was good until I got half way down into the burrito that the chicken or something in the burrito tasted like dish soap or worse I can't describe what it was but my mouth and my throat started burning and I instantly spit it out my mouth is numb now and I sit here typing this review which is a angry review which is about less than 5 minutes after I threw it all away. This place is unsafe to eat at go eat at moes or chipotle at least you if you eat there you'll be a 10/10 at either of those places. I will NEVER go here again and to be frank I was hesitant to go here in the first place. If you ever eat at a place and your mouth is burning spit it out and rinse your mouth with water and pray to god that you don't get poisoned.

DO NOT EAT FROM THIS PLACE! I usually don’t give one stars, if I could give a ZERO stars I would. My experience was bad had the manager not come to the window and made it worst. He basically called me a liar at the drive through window. I ordered a chicken salad without a taco shell for two salads. I ended up with taco shells on my salad. They asked for my receipt which did not say no shell. I didn’t receive my receipt back. The manager came to the window and said there were 4 employees on the ear piece that didn’t hear me say no shell. I even had someone on a call listening to me ask for a no shell taco. So why is my dash cam recording the whole conversation. The manager was combative and basically calling me a liar. I contacted corporate office and will be providing my dash cam footage ,which is dated and time stamped. Unbelievable! If your going to eat there walk in and order your food so you can walk them through step by step.

It would have been more professional to acknowledge my complaint about my horrible experience. Most importantly don’t call your customers a liar. My orders was Soggy, taste less salads, which ended up being thrown in the trash. WARNING DON’T...
