My husband and I went to Showmars in Gastonia, NC at Franklin Sq on 4/26/2019. Wow what an experience!!! Go in there and it’s freezing cold. Ask the girl up front if the could turn the air up and she said, “I wish but my manager won’t let us.” Go into the dining area and ask the waitress, snickers and says manager won’t let us. The thermostat was in the lobby so I take it upon myself as the customer to bump the air up from 65 to 68.
Food gets served to me and I order the same thing every time. Chicken pita and fries. They serve me a soggy wet inedible pita so after the fiasco with the air, I’m flustered, not to mention, the ranch I asked for and she delivered to my table and she slams it down because apparently I’m aggravating her. I take my pita back and say this pita bread is completely soggy and she says it’s probably condensation. I’ll have them make another. To which they did not. They just changed the pita. Tasted terrible. I didn’t even eat it.
She walks by after delivering the meal back and says everything alright!? I respond actually no it’s not. She, obviously annoyed by me as their customer, turns around sighs what’s wrong. I let her know I’ve had a terrible experience tonight dining in and I’d really like to speak to a manager to which she says she’s the manager. I’m honestly in disbelief that someone promoted Heather to be a manager of a store because she is a very poor representation of the store. I go on to say I asked to turn the a/c up because it’s too cold and was told no. No problem, I turned it up myself. I go on to say that I was served soggy food. Before me finishing my complaint, HEATHER, had an excuse for it all. Manager Heather, says and I quote, “I don’t cook the food. I can’t control that!” I told her that the food was terrible and I would not be back and was going to leave a review. I’m a person of my word so here we are.
Oh, and to make it better, she then comes by rudely places my money on the table for the pita and says we keep the air set there because we have our OTHER customers who say it is hot. Clearly I was not an important consumer. Not to mention, as soon as she said that, I clearly heard a worker say it’s freezing in here!
Ridiculous. Some type of manager HEATHER is. Wow! Baffled is an...
Read moreI wish I would have read the reviews before I ordered today (07/22/20)but I had been here before and thought this place to be great. BUT!!! boy has it changed. Poor customer service, the manager is rude very aggressive. I was picking up two orders online but one was not showing up yet. His comment to me was well I don't see two orders and walked off. When he came back he said what did you order. So I pulled it up on my phone in which it seem to irritate him. I asked is it possible that it just hasn't showed up yet. He says it usually takes 10 to 15 minutes. So I said ok that's fine. When he finally brought the order up he says what did you order again. While I was telling him he blurts out it's all there, throws on the counter and walks away. I was a little shocked. It wasn't until I was almost home that I realized I didn't have my drink I paid for as well as extra peppercorn peppers I paid for along with some sides I was charged. The food was cold and taste cold. I see the complaints about mask and maybe he is mad about that because this time everybody had one on. So maybe he is upset with being criticized and corrected. But if I was show Mars I would be careful that the manager was trying to ruin my business. And if I was a customer I would be scared they might be mad enough to do something to my food. But I want have to worry about that anymore because I will not be returning. I want pay for bad service and...
Read moreLoved this Showmars until today but this location has lost me as a customer. I am from Charlotte but ate in this Showmars at least once a month since it opened. Today I stopped and ordered onion rings "to go". Thank goodness I opened the box before I left because the rings were severely burned ... every one of them. I showed them to a woman who I presumed was the manager, intending to ask her to replace them. However, the woman/manager told me that the onion rings always looked like that and the burnt look was simply carmelization (No, they were burnt!) I told the woman that I had eaten onion rings from that restaurant at least 50 times throughout the years and they had NEVER looked like these, she told me that most of the time the onion rings look like the ones they tried to serve me today. She said she would give me a new order, but they would look exactly like the ones I was returning. I then asked for my money back and she, with an attitude, obliged me. She took back the onion rings and then ... and I swear she did this ... took the onion rings, bag and all, walked out of the restaurant and over to a red Mazda. Then she handed the bag of to a man in the car who then drove away! I then, on my way home stopped at my own neighborhood Showmars and took home a batch of beautiful, golden brown, delicious...
