First and foremost I would like to say as someone who is disabled I'm disgusted by the treatment I received by the general manager at the Wendy's located at the corner of South New Hope and East Franklin Blvd in Gastonia. I literally have a disabled veteran license plate on the back of my car which the general manager would have noticed when she walked behind my car has she not been in such an outrage over God knows what because I did nothing wrong to this young lady . I literally went to the drive-thru with the mobile order at 1:35 I have the receipt as proof. The general manager asks me do I want to use my mobile rewards I said no I already placed a mobile order with my initials. She then proceeds to leave me and three other people in the Drive-Thru for over 20 minutes with no type of assistance. After waiting 20 minutes and I have a video as proof at 1:55 the general manager tells me that she didn't take my order because she ain't been working for over 30 minutes due to the fact that she was working by herself. I stated to the general manager I had a mobile order that was placed at 1:35 a.m. if you just let me show you .. (she snaps at me and yells I ain't got your money ) ... Then slams the window in my face and locks it turns around and walks away. I drive around the other side of the building which she then comes out (and and knowingly she does not realize one of her co-workers is actually in the car with me which you can see her on video walking across the street to a 7-Eleven and then walking back and getting into my car do to me waiting over 20 plus minutes. I asked the general manager whose name is (Cara or Kara )did I do something wrong to upset her what is the problem I don't understand why I can't have my food or my money back .... She walks behind my vehicle again not noticing her coworker sitting in the car with me... And yells at me don't you get out that car and walk up on me because I have something for you in my bag and I will shoot you..... I immediately drove off as fast as I could out of fear of her shooting me and her coworker trying to harm me ...... This woman was in such an outrage she could have literally accidentally killed someone who she works with and who I am very acquainted with myself who I know because our children attended the same...
Read moreI am a regular at this location because I enjoy Wendy’s breakfast before I go to work in the mornings but for the 3 years that I have been working nearby this Wendy’s I have never appreciated the management, The attitude of the staff, Nor the speed of service.
The other day I went through the drive-through to pick up a mobile order. There was no cars in the parking lot or the drive-through at this time. As soon as I pulled up to the window, The short, older black lady asked me to pull up to the door to wait for my order. As I looked behind me, I noticed there was still no one in the drive-through but me. So I said, “Why? You’re not helping any other customers right now.” She replies, “BECAUSE I HAVE A DRIVE THRU TIMER AND IF IT RUNS OUT WE COULD GET IN TROUBLE!” I then said “So? Go faster! The only reason you want me to pull up to the door is so that you can take your time.” She then slams the drive-through window shut and continues to make my order. Then she purposely tries to hand me a small coffee instead of the medium coffee I ordered. I just looked at her And said “That’s not medium.” Then she slams the drive-through window again and goes and pours what was in the small cup into the medium cup, instead of making a whole new medium coffee as she should’ve but I disregarded that because I was ready to just leave. After a few minutes, She finally h ands me the correct order and after I say, “thank you” She says, “Next time you wanna come through my drive-through and take up my drive-through time I WILL NOT SERVE YOU! I looked at her in her face and said again “That’s not my problem. Each order should be done before that timer runs out. It’s your fault if that timer runs out. You just wanna take your time and get yourself in trouble!” Then...
Read more9/2 Update: Had to run out for an early appointment with my son. Sadly we drove through Wendy's. The automated attendant took my order so I pulled up to the window. Sat at the window for a couple minutes and waited. Eventually the manager came to the window and said, what do you want? Not as if to take my order but as if I was some random person pulled up to a window for no reason. I told her thank you nothing and pulled away. When are they going to fire this manager and turn this location around?
6/19 Update: It's been several months so I went back and ordered my favorite sandwich. Of course it wasn't made right. It only reminds me why I wrote the first review to begin with. What a trash restaurant.
You'll wait at least 5 minutes in the before anybody will acknowledge you. You're way in another 10 minutes to get your food. If your food is made the way you like. Today I was told there was nobody there that could access the computer to place an order. That was after I waited 10 minutes for somebody even acknowledged me. How does this place even stay open? But don't worry, right next door McDonald's was happy to take my order.
Every time I've been to Wendy's I've left frustrated. I really do like some of the items on their menu but it's not worth the headache every single visit. I'm not exaggerating either. Every single visit.
I wish you all the very best and I'll miss grabbing a...
