They are not following food and safety standards. I was waiting for my food and witnessed several violations. The kitchen and food prep area are open to the view of the public. First the older woman at the register was a sweetheart and very professional. However there were approximately 4 people behind her that were putting together takeout orders and running food to the dining room which were constantly touching and removing their masks. I have an issue with employees openly not following established policies and getting away with it. Worse, there was one young man with short brown hair that was eating food in front of everyone while he was prepping food right in front of the kitchen. 2 couples actually walked out. I had already placed my order. I asked. to speak to the manager and a young man with a beard came out of the kitchen. I explained what I had witnessed and that I had a problem with this. He stated “I have a problem too” and then walked away. He never asked who it was or even apologized. I found everyone other than the lady at the cash register very unprofessional. I realize we have national labor shortages but that was ridiculous. We took our food home since I was never given a chance to ask for a refund. I recooked everything before serving to my family. Food was kind of mediocre at best. We will...

This place is amazing!!! My wife and I was looking on google for restaurants in the area that was on the reasonable price side and we wanted to check out Mama's farmhouse but did quite want the all you can eat at the time so we checked this place out instead. Once we got there we realized that it was owned by the same people that also have the farmhouse and the Alamo, which is also an amazing steakhouse! We ordered the 8pc with sides, chicken n dumplings and cream corn. The 8pc also came with 6 extremely large biscuits that were very good. The chicken season was amazing but those chicken n dumplings were off the charts!!! Even the tea was awesome and actually tasted like tea instead of water. It was a meal that we could not finish so you definitely get a great portion. The service was GREAT and the young lady that took our order was very nice as well as the other staff. They all were smiling and talking attentively and happy to be there. The restaurant was very clean as was the bathrooms. We eat at Huck Finns all the time but we both agree that Mama's Chicken tast better!!! Definitely will be...

The food here is consistently well prepared and very good. The restaurant combines J.O.E. and Pop's Sub Shoppe (various subs and sandwiches—the Reuben is phenomenal!) with Mama's Chicken Kitchen (the chicken & dumplings and mashed potatoes—taste like homemade!) so with a wide variety, it's easy to find something to please everyone.

The service is friendly and efficient, although during high traffic times can be a bit lacking and slow due to understaffing during those times. Our last visit, during the second week of October about an hour or so after lunchtime, was extremely busy and we waited 45 minutes for a to-go order for two. It was the first time we were ever missing an item from our order, but due to the overwhelming number of guests to staff ratio, I excused it for this rating and review because I've never seen it so busy and have never had it happen before. Though the wait was long and we were missing an item, our meal was still very fresh...

I live locally right over on boogertown rd. This place is on the more expensive side although I do feel like the price reflects their quality of food. They do ask for a tip when you place your order. Your options are 25% 20% and 18% and no tip, with highest tip being on the left to be more tricky to click because typically the lowest is on the left. Today 09/13/24 I had ordered a Ham & Swiss sandwich, toasted, no tomato's add onion. They gave me a cold sandwich with tomato’s and no lettuce. This is a major inconvenience for busy customers especially when they are pressured to tip for togo food at a premium price, then have to fix their order after the fact. I would have gone back to have them fix it if I wasn’t busy and didn’t have my 3 month old with me. Disappointed with my experience.
