On 9/21 my family and I came for our second visit and it will be our last. The service was absolutely terrible and potentially dangerous. Our server only came to take our drink order and food order and did not come back until he delivered the check. When he walked by and I asked for water he just dropped off a whole carafe and walked off without looking. He also just handed me his POS device and just walked away and didnt come back for another 5 minutes.

When I tried explaining a food allergy I have to him, halfway though he turned around and started talking to the large table next to us. When the runner came with our food she placed her hand on my food allergy bowl and the touched my food. When I sent it back she returned in less than 30 seconds and did not wash her hands in that time. He also seemed dismissive of a nut allergy that the table next to us let him know about and even they seemed concerened with his lack of communication on the issue.

I spoke to the manager on duty and let them know all of the above as even my wife, who was a server for 15 years was really upset with the service. I let her know as well that I didn't want anything comped but I would never be returning.

My wife wanted a desert from Alchemy next door and even their takeout host was better than the service at Ella's. When we mentioned that a worker passing by and a customer both said that they have heard similar complaints about the place.

Food was fantastic and I would gladly give them 5 stars for that. Just don't expect them to pay attention to any...

Awesome first experience for an early Mother's Day 2023 Celebration.

We went on a Saturday, later in the night at almost 9 PM. We were happy to see that they were open until 11 PM, unlikely others that close at 10 PM.

The atmosphere was nice ( dark/fancy style ). We were seating inside, by the entrance but would love to try their outdoor tables, in the near future.

They had initially offered us a table towards the end of the Restaurant, close to the kitchen and bathrooms. We were glad we got the table we got because we wouldn't have been big fans of that area ( I know, we are very picky with the location of our table at every Restaurant we go to! ).

Our waitress was very friendly, knowledgeable and sweet.

We ordered a Prosciutto+Arugula+Burrata and a Wild Mushroom+Truffle Roman-Style Pan Pizzas. Both were very good. A focaccia style/Detroit pizza with perfectly cooked dough and great ingredients on top. It would have been good to know that there were red pepper flakes on top of the Mushroom pizza as we were sharing it with our daughter and she couldn't eat it because it was too spicy for her, but next time we know to ask for less or none. Our son ordered a pepperoni kids pizza and that was also good.

The only thing we regretted ordering were the desserts: perfect size after a pretty filling dinner but a bit pricey for how tiny they were.

We will definitely be back soon.

Thank you!

April 2024 update: This place never disappoints us, one of the few places we try to go to as much as possible with the family. Amazing...

OUTSTANDING!

We have been frequent patrons of Ella's since it opened in Geneva. The outdoor patio is adorable and well maintained and has seating for both large and small groups.

Our family is vegan, and we love the variety of delicious appetizer, meal, and drink options available. We also have a wheelchair user in our family, and the Ella's team has always gone above and beyond to accomodate. We have often enjoyed take-out from Ella's as well, and love that they offer both carry out and curbside.

Recently, we had a take out order that had an issue. We did not realize the issue until we returned home and sent a quick email to their team just to give them a little heads up - no biggie, things happen. (We expected nothing other than a "thanks for letting us know" response). However, we were rendered speechless by their exemplary response! Not only did they respond quickly, but their team was very professional and humble. We were beyond impressed by their commitment to service throughout the entire process.

Ella's was already our favorite restaurant in Geneva due to their amazing food, but now they have gained our loyalty for years to come. Kudos to their team! You are all amazing!!! We cannot recommend them enough!

Go,...

If you are strolling around downtown Geneva, this is definitely a good place to eat at. Especially on a nice summer evening as they have a very nice outdoor eating area right on third Street. The pizzas are quite delicious. They look very heavy and bulky, but they taste very light and are delicious. We also got the appetizer calamari which was OK. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t the best. We had to ask for our server several times and she really kind of never came by to ask us what we needed or refills of water or anything else. The restaurant is beautiful. The food is good, but unfortunately, this time the service was poor. We will give it another try one day as we live close in the Area
