I recently visited Madsen Donuts, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and a delightful aroma of freshly baked donuts. The shop itself was cozy and inviting, with a charming decor that instantly made me feel at home.
The variety of donuts available was impressive, from classic glazed to innovative seasonal flavors. Each donut I tried was incredibly fresh, fluffy, and delicious. The balance of sweetness was just right, making it impossible to stop at just one.
What truly sets Madsen Donuts apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about their craft. They took the time to explain the different flavors and even recommended a few personal favorites.
Overall, Madsen Donuts is a gem of a place. Whether you're a donut enthusiast or just looking for a delightful treat, this shop is a must-visit. I will definitely be...
Read moreI've passed this place hundreds of times while bike riding down the strip in GOTL. Yesterday, I finally decided to stop in and get myself a treat. The first thing I noticed was a poor variety of donuts .. perhaps a dozen different types. Since they didn't have anything "maple" or "pumpkin", I decided on a chocolate cream filled eclair (who could mess that up?). The cost for this one (1) donut was $1.00 !!! (I can get the same donut at any other store from Walmart to Dunkin Donuts to other private diners for $0.50) Well, I put it in a bag, biked up to the Geneva Twp. Park and sat down to enjoy my 'treat'. With the 1st bite I noticed an 'off flavor'. It tasted like they'd used some kind of artificial sweetener in either the chocolate covering or the (supposedly) vanilla cream center. IT WAS NOT GOOD! IT WAS OVERPRICED. Thank God I didn't try the coffee! Pass up this place at all costs .. there are plenty of places on the strip with better (and...
Read moreTERRIBLE ! I was up here yesterday June 30th around 5pm . No one was making donuts ! Three teenage girls talking and giggling , doing a lot of nothing . The donuts in the case looked so OLD . All the so called glazed donuts glaze was gone off them . The sugared raised donuts were so deflated and wrinkled up ! YUCK ! So I commented that the donuts looked old not fresh . The girl informed me that they only make donuts in the morning . Wow , that's news to me , cuz I live around here and have seen them make and sell donuts different times of the day . We bought three donuts , 2 chocolate frosted long johns with cream in them and one sugared raised. My sugared raised was so gross , old and dry .... I threw it out . My husband had a long John and it only had a little tiny bit of cream in it and was again DRY . At 1.00 a piece for a dried out old donut .... no thanks , I will go to the Amish , Dunkin Donuts or even Giant Eagle for donuts . Lazy...
