Seemed to be the only place for breakfast on the strip but have since found out about Mary's Kitchen. It appears on the outside to be a great place for a nice relaxing breakfast. With NO warning I was appalled at the rudeness, of course disguised as joking, of not only the staff but the owner. This place appears to be a little cafe style friendly restaurant, not a place advertised on deliberate rudeness. Their comments were VERY offensive to my Christian faith, repeatedly saying "Jesus Christ...........!". Also making comments about another couple living together "and sinning on a Sunday!". The owner said "can he (me) even TELL the difference between white and wheat toast?". While I was eating the owner/cook was loudly talking about sticking a square needle in a guys balls. It is NOT a place for families and I DEFINITELY will NEVER go back. People need a heads up that it is not a family restaurant or a place to get a inexpensive relaxing breakfast. Walked by the Sunrise Cafe will looking for a place to eat and decided to try it.
It took us a while to understand that the staff wasn't being rude. They will lightly insult you and give you a hard time on purpose.
If you are sensitive thin skinned individual, find another place to eat.
The food is quick and filling. Pretty tasty. Six of us walked away and I paid $46 for all the meals with drinks. Not bad at all. I was happy.
Owner was present and awesome. Talked to us and gave the kids stickers. He is from the Collinwood neighborhood of Cleveland.
Give it...

This is the Sunrise Cafe - "Eat, Pay, Leave." They serve up good food and good coffee and they intend to do so for as many customers as possible. Don't lag or lollygag and don't waste their time - trust me, if you do, they'll let you know!
Prices are great, food is great. Coffee is in a carafe on the table (and hot!) - you fill your cup yourself. Sarcasm is spot on and generous.
Some people find the experience off putting or the staff rude - if you're too conservative or think to highly of yourself - don't bother with this cafe. It's not the place for you.
However, if you are familiar with serving the public and know how much BS goes with it - you'll...
