Absolutely terrible experience at Romeo’s Pizza tonight. The estimated wait time was 20 minutes, but I ended up waiting almost 40, after showing up right on time.
There were about seven people working behind the counter, and not a single one of them bothered to greet me, ask if I’d been helped, or even make eye contact. I stood there watching three other customers come and go with their orders before I finally had to step up and ask for assistance myself.
When I did, I was told my order would be “just another minute,” which actually turned into another 10 minutes. To top it off, one of the items I ordered (an extra bottle of sauce) wasn’t in stock. Instead of telling me or offering an alternative, one of the employees just shrugged and said they’d “throw several little ones in a bag, it’ll amount to about one bottle.” Um, no. That’s not how that works, and you don’t make that call without asking the customer first.
I work in the service industry, so I get it, but this was hands-down the worst service I’ve ever had at a Romeo’s. I actually left a generous tip out of habit, but I won’t be making that mistake again. Takeout service should at least meet the bare minimum: timeliness, communication, and basic courtesy.

Read moreI try, but I think I'm forever done with this place. Unfortunately more times than not something goes wrong. I ordered online for delivery. The email said it would deliver in 45 minutes. After giving the delivery driver 30 extra minutes of grace I called to check on my order. They said it was busy there and they were backed up. He said that it is on it's way and will deliver at any moment. I gave them 25 more minutes, still nothing. I called again. After 10 minutes of the phone ringing I became irritated and drove to the shop while still on the phone. I walk into the shop with two guys hanging in the back. Mind you the shop was completely clean with no sense of being busy. I stood at the front counter holding my phone while the phone at the shop was ringing. A man casually comes up. I asked about my order he said it's in the system. He asked the other guy if he took the order to be delivered. I didn't hear his response, but this man came back and said there was some sort of a system issue with my order and they never made it. I said whatever, just give me my money back. After 2 hours of this I just wanted to get something to eat and never deal with this...

The person taking the order was very rude stating that she does not apply online codes and it’s only online for discounts. We explained the coupon code does not work online even though it’s advertised. We ask for her name and she was hesitant to give it to us. Her name was McKenna. We asked her managers name and she said why, then hung up on us rudely.
Customer service is definitely not her strong point. Someone like this does not deserve to be greeting people or answering phones calls. This is why restaurants like McDonald’s is going to robots.
