Just left IHOP and I will admit I came here simply because of the recent reviews I've seen. And it did not disappoint. 2:00 in the morning and after bingo me and my girls decided to come and have a bite. Getting there we noticed that the young man serving was the only one seen so we asked him if he was by himself he said yes but I will be more than happy to help you and we were seated immediately. Four other tables with several other people at each table we're already seated none of which had food on them which raised red flags for me. However immediately after cheating us he let us know that he needed to go get food for two of the tables and that he would be back to get our drink orders and that is exactly what happened. Two tables got food he took our drink order the third table got their food he took our food order the fourth table got food and then our food came out. I don't know who's cooking but the food was coming out fast, speedy, hot, delicious and it looked beautiful. The server Demetrius I believe was his name was tremendously wonderful. Never letting anyone's cup hit bottom, including coffee, water and other soft drinks and stopping to make sure that every need that we had was met. I will not say that this is the best customer service but I have ever had like other reviews I have read said but I will say this ranks amongst the top 10 probably in the top five of the best customer service experience I've ever had. Not only was the customer service good but with a lobby full of people this Demetrius character also managed to make sure all to go orders for the doordashers were getting put up and carry on conversations with all of our tables. It was absolutely magnificent to watch him float around as if this were a routine for him. As if this is what he did every day and did it several times every day. I left with a smile, a good conversation and hopefully a new friend cuz I will be back. My girls and I normally go to bingo every Tuesday night so he can probably look forward to seeing us every Tuesday night along with others. Keep up the good work mister man. See...
Read moreIf I could leave a 0 star review I would. This was by far the worse experience I have ever had in my life. I should also state that there were only 4 tables including us in the restaurant so it was not busy at all. Also all we ordered were 1 thing of pancake, 3 orders of chicken strips, and a sandwich so it was NOT a complicated order. For the love of god more than half the orders were chicken stripes, the easiest thing to cook.
We waited 15-20 minutes for the waiter to take our orders, then it took them 45-50 minutes to make our food only to get ALL of the orders wrong. 25 minutes later the waiter finally came back with half of our orders only to mess it up again, IT WAS STILL WRONG. Then when we asked for some more water and waited for 20 plus more minutes and she never gave us a refill. I NEVER GOT A REFILL, none, I sat there playing with the freaking ice cubes so it would melt down quicker so I can have a drink. By this time we have been at the restaurant for almost 2 hours and still have not receive all of our orders and no water, so we decided to just ask for the check and pay for the wrong orders we do have and leave.
When I asked to speak with the manager, there were none at the establishment… then it took her 15 minutes to figure out how to print the bill for us so we can pay. Then she said she will bring us our receipt so we sat and waited for another 10 minutes only to find out that she can’t print out a receipt LOL, are you freaking kidding me.
Look, some of you might be saying “oh it’s just ihop, were you expecting a luxury restaurant service” nooooo I was not, but Jesus Christ it is basic customer service. How incompetent can they be! It was freaking chicken strips.
I could have slaughtered a live chicken, started a fire, and made my own chicken strips faster. For the love of god, I could do things faster if I didn’t have legs and only one arm with 2 fingers. Seriously don’t ever...
Read moreMy experience was a little bothersome! First off we were seated in the back were they gathered and roll up making, spoons & forks. And there was one waitresses who seem bothersome by what someone did that left her puzzle. Rather than keep it to herself she constantly blurted it out! I can't believe whoever did this. Not something me or my family wanted to hear. Second thing that made my experience not so well was the cash register was like 8 feet away from our table and you heard every conversation from both the waiter & the waitresses! Some of the conversation wasn't good either. Just not something you want to hear when your out trying to enjoy a nice Saturday morning breakfast with your family. Then it was the dress code I'm not trying to be critical but just being honest. It was any and everything. I'm not sure what it is but it does need to be addressed. Guy's shirts were out of there pants not iron and tennis shoes. Then there were some who didn't even have red shirts just whatever they could find. Then there were a new hire who they didn't even have a uniform so they gave him a Aprin to wear.
Now finally I can speak on the food and my waiter. My waiter was really good although we didn't see him much he was good and took care of us when he was present. He perhaps had to many tables and I had two other waiter refill my drinks. And the food came rather quickly which was a pleasant surprise. Because I wanted to eat and go after hearing and seeing all the noise and chatter among all the waitresses & waiter. Listen presentation is everything!! We usually go to Bob Evans and have breakfast. But decided to come back over to IHOP were I must tell you. You all must get it together if you expect people to come back. And have the kind of experience that keep them...
