Hi! I’m excited to say that New China Express is my new favorite! Very delicious and fast. Prices and flavors are on point. I got so much food for under $12. I Ordered the Pan Fried Noodles with chicken, pork, shrimp and veggies. They include a big side of white or fried rice as well! I can never decide between noodles and rice, or the meats, so this dish is my new favorite! Bamboo shoots, snow peas, onions, green peppers, garlic mushrooms, water chestnuts, and Napa cabbage. The meats are SO tender and juicy and the shrimp isn’t overcooked and chewy. HUGE deal to those of us that love ourselves lol. About to try the egg roll... Right off the bat the sweet & sour sauce has a nice consistency and flavor. It isn’t gelatinous like some. The egg roll itself is okay. I won’t rave over it but it’s okay. I will try something else next time I visit. I’ll also try the egg rolls again to see if it was a one off. Now for the side of fried rice... Definitely needs soy sauce, Tamari, or liquid aminos if you’re not into a blander fried rice. I like it the way it is and will consume some like it is and then add sauce later. Yum yum sauce and ginger sauce would also be good on this. The rice isn’t hard or too saturated with soy sauce. Will definitely be frequenting this place to see what other entrees...
Read moreA group of us stopped here after a day on the lake. I heard this place had some good tasty food, so gave it a try since I was craving some Chinese food.
It's a very nice clean little place. Staff was friendly, and the food was cooked fairly quickly. You do get large portions here, but I find most Chinese places do. From what we ordered, it looks like they serve your meal over rice, instead of boxing the rice separately (if your meal comes with rice) as some places do.
I would say the appetizers were about on par with other places. Nothing above the expected and nothing below average.
Veggie Lo Mein - noodles were good, tasted really good Kung Po Pork - about your average dish, some pork was very tender and a few pieces were chewy, veggies about average, meat to veggie ratio was good Sesame Chicken - a little above average, I liked it Singapore Mei Fun - this was my favorite that I tried out of the four, it was very good
Fried rice was average, some places I've been to make some really good fried rice
All in all, with my experience, it was good food for a great value and nothing...
Read moreI previously gave these folks five stars. I don't know what happened last night (October 10), but our food was awful. It came up too fast; the vegetable fried rice (we paid extra for broccoli and snow pea pods and got two tiny pieces of broccoli, no snow peas) had no flavor; it was barely fried. My husband's General Tso's chicken had no sauce, and the rice wasn't fried. I was actually going to take the food back today, but decided there wasn't really much point, especially since we didn't get a receipt (my husband asked me if I wanted him to go back for a receipt, and I said "nah, not necessary"). We ate our egg rolls, a couple bites of our entrees, then we made salad and fruit for dinner. I know you guys are better than this, but we probably won't be back for awhile. Sorry. Really...
