Cute shop. The prices are way too high to give 1"$", which is how this is listed. While you can get a single Bagel for $3.50, you pay extra for your shmear or topping. Plain coffee is $3.00 and drink prices go up from there. The breakfasts go from $9.50 -$17.00. What do you get? I had to send mine back. It was a breakfast sandwich, no cheese, on sesame. The eggs were baked in a cup. They were streaked with black, perhaps from off the cup. The first bite tasted like an everything bagel so I sent it back. The manager came to talk to me and assured me that everything was clean but that all bagels are toasted in the same toaster. She offered to bake mine and I asked for my money back which she quickly agreed to. She was polite. I ordered a 16 oz. coffee, while I don't think the cups were 16 oz, I was welcome to refills so I should of ordered the 12 oz. She offered me a full to go cup when I was ready. At that time, the employee took the remainder of my coffee which was cold and poured it in a to go, then asked if I wanted it "topped". I told him I wanted a full cup so he topped it, rather than giving me a full fresh cup as promised, thus handing me a lukewarm beverage. Along with a bottle of Coca Cola, my dining partner asked for turkey instead of ham on his breakfast sandwich. There was a $2 upcharge , about a 20% increase, however, there was probably a 1/2 serving of meat. He wasn't sure his bagel was toasted and had a "meh" response when asked if he enjoyed it. The staff was polite, I did get my sandwich taken off the bill. There is no teacher or senior discount. It was $18 for a bagel sandwich and 2 drinks, had I kept my sandwich it would've cost about $29.00. I wouldn't say I'd never go back because the desserts looked like they could be good, but they weren't cheap. (Cookies cost $3.75.) The atmosphere was attractive and enjoyable. I would not go back for bagels...
Read moreI have to say I loved your coffee shop, I was at the hotel next door for a week on business the end of February. I have to say the reason you have a five star review is because of one of your staff Melissa. The service I received from Melissa was first class with little personal touches like and I quote "what can I fix you that will make your toes wiggle" it made me laugh and feel relaxed her service made me come back making my dreary business week so much more enjoyable. On a very different note the same cannot be said for the tennage staff I saw while at your coffee shop! I have to say I was appalled by there behaviour. I mean refusing to help Melissa when she asked and just laughing sitting polishing cutlery for like 30 minutes is shocking and the language they were using when I passed to use the bathroom was rude and obnoxious slating your hard-working member of staff and laughing thinking it is funny to try and make her mad and not doing their jobs. I was so shocked by this I needed to make people aware of this and that there is someone who will give you a first class service and not to be put off by the youngsters. Look for the slightly older lady and avoid the short girl with brown hair and glasses and the tall girl with blond hair I never got there names and did not want to take up the other lady's time as she was so busy dealing with a huge volume of other customers. To end on a positive when in the area I will come back as long as Melissa is there as I know I will be treated with respect. That lady deserves a raise for what she is having to put up with I hope there are some staff changes next time I visit which could only...
Read more1st off I want to say good help is hard to find and I give 4 stars because I do in fact like this place and I want them to stay. I've been going there since they were whoops! and changed owners. Usually when I come here there's an older lady thats been there for a while and she makes every effort to make sure that her customers are satisfied. I don't know what happened today maybe they were just having a bad day, maybe i'm being picky. There were 2 younger ladies in there and they seemed really tired the card system was being rebooted and I got the feeling like they didn't want to be there. I got 2 croissants and they just threw them in a bag and out the door I went. As far as presentation goes it was less than what I am used to when I go here. They seemed to be having trouble with the oven and I had to watch her make the croissant because I don't feel like she was all there when I told her what I wanted and sure enough she didn't, I had to correct her. When I received the order it didn't smell as good maybe because it wasn't heated enough but it was also just in a bag with the other croissant like this was a donut shop and this isn't a donut shop. I'll come here again after a few weeks maybe the employees were new but I want the owner to know how the employees are representing...
