This will contain both good and bad topics. As always the food tasted great. But Take out for 2 was $87.00. Kyoto Raised the prices on Every Item from $3.50 to $4.00 Seafood Delight is Almost $20 for A Small Portion. It had 4 over cooked shrimp in it that disintegrated in you mount leaving bad taste. Almost NO Scallops, All Vegetables for $20 Buck , I don't think so. A quart Of Wanton Soup is $9.00 and has 5 very small Wantons. This is such a disappointment because it does Taste Great. I asked for extra wantons and they want $1 for 1 Wonton. All broth for $9.00 Bucks, Don't think so. The Egg Rolls are twice the price and 1/2 the size they used to be. The Sushi was fine but yet again 3 to 4 Dollars more per Item. I am very disappointed overall and will not return. This is after going to Kyoto at least 1 time every 3 to 4 weeks for dinner, both Take out and dining in.
I have found a few Chinese Buffets that offer all you can eat and drink, the same Quality, the wantons are as big as good sized Lemon and I can eat as Much Sushi as I want. Tuna, Yellow Tail, Salmon etc. The Sushi Rolls are huge and unlimited. A variety of cooked dishes, Deserts Etc. All for $20 to $22 bucks a person with Soda. I will travel the extra 6 miles to eat there from now on. Sorry Kyoto, you food is vey tasty but I really fell like I am getting Ripped off with your Prices. When I 1st moved to Texas less than 5 years it was 1/2 the price it is today and portions were more generous. Covid is Over people stop using it as a reason to...
Read moreHad a really bad experience last night, which is quite a shame. The first time I came here was for my birthday and there were about 20 of us. We sat in their private party room and it was an excellent experience. Last night, not so much. There were four of us, and it took 14 minutes before somebody greeted us. Didn’t ask us how we were, didn’t tell us his name, didn’t apologize, just asked us what we wanted to drink. Took him a while to come back for our orders. I got the vegetable tempura for an appetizer and several of the pieces weren’t cooked all the way through, so I got several mouthfuls of the flour or whatever they toss it in before frying it. Then when the entrees came out, I got mine first, but I had to remind our waiter about the soup and salad that was supposed to come with my meal because it never came out. Two of my friends didn’t get their food until 5 minutes after I got mine, and my other friend didn’t get his food until about 10 minutes after that. Our waiter never refilled our drinks. They were only filled once by another waitress. It was such a shame to have such a poor experience both with food and service because I hear so many great things about this place. Likely won’t be returning for a while. All of us are servers and have been in the restaurant industry for a while, and we all left very low tips, which hurt us to do since we all work in that industry, but we can’t reward horrible...
Read moreSad excuse for a sushi restaurant. I've ordered here twice before (disappointed both times), and tonight I thought l'd give it one more shot before writing it off.... I ordered the yellowtail jalapeño roll, the "filet" hibachi, and seaweed salad. Let's start with the yellowtail roll. It just didn't taste right. Maybe it wasn't fresh, or the quality of the fish was below average (maybe both?) but it just was not good at all. Hamachi/yellowtail is a rather mild taste IMO, but this was like... a stronger overly fishy taste. The "filet" hibachi (quotes because it's very UNLIKELY that the beef was actually filet) was so overcooked it was unreal. Even if it was filet, it would've probably been a little tender - but this was just garbage. The fried rice was dry as a bone, and had zero flavor whatsoever. Probably wasn't fresh, either. The best part of the hibachi dinner was the zucchini and mushrooms underneath the overcooked meat!!!! Soooo disappointing. Lastly the seaweed salad. I had ordered it before, and liked it. But this time - it just seemed off!!!!! I only took two bites of it before I tossed it. Maybe it was old or something idk. It just didn't taste like normal seaweed salad. All in all, if you're looking for GREAT, QUALITY sushi, make the drive into Austin to Tomo off parmer, or Sushi to the Moon in Leander, or Soto in cedar park. Don't support this so-called...
