Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Georgia

This Applebee's need to shut down and start over. I have been here twice (trying to give a second chance) and both times, the food, service and restaurant were awful. This last time on 2/22/25, was the last straw. We came in a a party of 4, two kids, two adults. We weren't immediately sat which was NOT a big deal, it was Saturday and we understood it being busy. We were sat at about 6pm. Our server, a gentleman w/ dreads ... I didn't bother to get his name, was obviously busy and didn't get to us until about 6:15. Again, not a problem. The problems came AFTER we ordered. We ordered an appetizer and decided to go ahead and order food since the kids were antsy. 20 minutes pass, no appetizer, no kids food, no refills. My husband tracks down a server walking by to trouble her for a refill b/c he had a flavored lemonade and they apparently make them at the bar, she said she'd get our server. He comes back to the table about 5 mins later grabs the glass and walks off .. no indication on the food or asking if wanted water refills or another margarita (which i had ordered). He comes back 5 mins later w/ the kids' food, but no refill and no appetizer. Okay, fine. I then ask him, can we get more water and remind him about my husband's refill. He leaves. He comes back w/ the refill and FINALLY w/ our food. By this time it is about 7:05pm. We had quite literally waited, ALMOST an hour for the food. I thanked him and advised our appetizer STILL hadn't come out and if it was still ordered to please cancel it as we would no longer be interested since we now have dinner and also to bring the check (it obviously takes awhile to get things done, so I wanted to get a head start so we could leave when ready). The food was subpar at best. We eat, and he finally brings the check and boxes, it's almost 8pm at this point, but he also has the appetizer that we ordered. He asked if we still wanted it .. which I had earlier advised that I didn't (i think he just forgot to put it in) and that we'd have to pay for it since it was made. I advised him to remove it from the ticket or get a manager. He comes back w/ the revised ticket, and by this time I'm annoyed. In no world should it take an hour to get food at a freaking Applebee's. Two hours spent on two kids chicken tender meals, an appetizer, and teo OVERDONE sizzling platters that weren't even sizzling when they came to the table. JUST NO,...

I did not have a great experience at this location. We arrived in the evening. It wasn't super packed as I thought it would be. There were plenty of open tables, although I understand this may not have accounted for a lighter than usual staff. My children and I weren't greeted when we came in. There were TWO people in the front talking to each other. After about 5 minutes and being passed by (still not being greeted), I was finally greeted and told that we could sit. Once we were seated, we were again waiting for quite some time. It took roughly 15 minutes for the waiter to even come over. He apologized and said it would be another wait as he was closing out other guests. Another 20 minutes passed and he finally came back over to get our drink order. Two of the drinks my daughter ordered, he replied they didn't have the products to make. The drinks took another 24 minutes. In the process, I asked about kids eating free for Halloween. The waiter said that multiple people came in with the same issue and from what he was told, they were not honoring that. He proactively went to get the manager. The manger came over and sat there as if she was unaware of why she was even called over. I explained what the waiter and I discussed. Her response was that she had taken over the restaurant a year ago however she's never heard of kids eating free food Halloween. She added that only one other person even asked about this (which contradicted the waiter previous comment which he had mentioned this was an issue all day). She had no empathy and walked away after her explanation. I asked about kids menus and was told there weren't anymore. I asked about the items on the kids menu and was told by the waiter that he was going to grab someone else that had been there longer to advise on the kids menu. Once the waitress came over, I asked the same question regarding the menu items, she replied that my waiter should be able to tell me. Frustrated at this point, I waited until he came back over and told him what the other waitress said. He tried to remember some items and eventually, I just ordered something that I figured all restaurants would have for kids, pizza and chicken tenders. I order my children's meals which came at a good speed. Overall the experience wasn't pleasant and I will not return to...

Time: 9:02pm resurrection Sunday. (Currently in the establishment typing my review)

My 10yr daughters bday and we decided to eat here. Literally the worst apple bees you could come too. They were out of everything, from lemonade, sprite, spinach, paper towels..I mean everything. No bacon for the signature Mac n cheese. Smh. My family and I had to seat ourselves because the host was sitting in a booth in his phone. The tablets hadn’t been wiped so we had to choose one that looked to be the cleanest. After waiting a while I asked if I could have a towel to wipe the table ( the host was kind enough to hand me a semi dirty rag which i took the liberty of cleaning myself). Smh. The Waitress Santana was really kind. She kept us informed on what was available and not. Honestly she was the best part of the experience. We didn’t get our food until 10:36pm. During that time I watched as so many people came in sat down for 30-1hr just waiting for service. At one point a party of 11 came in and the waiter for that particular side said that he wouldn’t take them because it was to big. (Wait what???) The manager looked defeated. He didn’t even try. I had him reduce my ticket and gave out waitress the amount remaining the regular ticket would have came up too. The worst experience ever. Needs better management and workers (besides Santana) she held it down the best she could. I wouldn’t waste my money or time coming here. The only reason we stayed was because my daughter really wanted to eat here. She was quite disappointed after waiting a while and had a few words herself, but we just bagged our food once we got it and left. Well the kids food. My husband and I didn’t bother because it just wasn’t good. All I got were sides (three cheese, Mac, Aaron, but they were out of bacon, Regular mashed potatoes and broccoli with melted shredded cheese 😞 I’m pregnant so that’s all I could take) Our kids settled for pizza, cheese sticks, and fries.
