I visited this restaurant for the first time yesterday as I was in the area shopping at the adjacent Publix to get food for dinner around 4pm. I ordered shrimp fired rice and two veggie egg rolls. So I thought to myself well I will cook dinner tomorrow. When I arrived home to enjoy the first ever China Liu's meal, I learned and discovered the food was not the original shrimp fired rice I'm accustomed to. There were no green peas, no carrots, no eggs, very little onions, and most importantly, very little shrimp on top of the rice. As I serve the food, I notice a very little to no shrimp throughout the rice -- mind you I had ordered extra shrimp X 3 after I asked the young girl taking my order does the order come with much shrimp as my total order price at $16.00.
My son and I did not like the food and it was my first-time ordering shrimp fired rice in about 2 plus years because I pledge to not order it if it wasn't buffet style because some carry out is another way for the restaurant to reduces the customer food consumption just to make more profit.
In a nutshell, if the food is package, fully wrapped, hidden or covered, use caution when ordering because it just may not be what you order. Its best to go inside and sit - if possible, so you can see if your food is...

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants that I know of in the Atlanta area. I've had Chinese food for over 40 years all over the US and in other parts of the world from Hong Kong to the Middle East. Liu's has a great menu with a couple of things that I don't see on any other Chinese restaurant's menu.
Shrimp Toast: Shrimp Toast is something I've seen mostly at a few Thai restaurants and Liu's is very good.
Chinese Spare Ribs: I haven't had real Chinese Spare Ribs in decades. I've tried ribs at other Chinese restaurants. Their ribs are not as good. China Liu has awesome and authentic Chinese Spare Ribs. These are a must to try.
Roasted Pork Fried Rice: Every Chinese restaurant serves their own version of pork fried rice but China Liu's Roasted Pork Fried Rice is unique in it's flavor and is some of the best fried rice I've had. The pork in the rice has a wonderful roasted flavor and the rice well...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEvery time we pick up our order they have forget something. Oh sorry she says. Really? Itās every time. Either they short us on egg rolls or forget some details. Egg foo young with no gravy. Ask for green onion on soup, they forget. Combo meals say they come with egg rolls? No egg rolls in ours twice now. The egg drop soup is way too thick too much corn starch!! The dumplings in Wonton are gooey too much dough barely any meat inside. Doesnāt taste like chicken broth! Itās gotta be powered broth-tastes artificial. The food was great when they reopened with new owners, but now itās starting to taste like they are trying to cut corners. Inside is really getting dirty !! No one disinfects the tables. Everything is greasy from the walls to floors to windows and interior wall menu is so dated. Run down. Looks unkept. Honestly it needs an update. And use better quality chicken and beef. I think we are going to drive to Douglasville...
