The service was bad and the employees were rude. I’m not sure if one of them was a manager but I’m thinking he is and this is no way for a manager to act. Took a while to get our food and went to the drink machine to find out that there was no ice so we had to go ask the lady to give us some which she didn’t seem happy about. Then we find out that none of the drinks have carbon and he said they weren’t going to have carbon very rudely might I add. While me and my friend were waiting for my mom to order we had sat our things on a table and the lady tells us it isn’t dine in and we proceed to tell her we are just waiting for someone to order and she says ok and walks away. Then I’m guessing she told the man to come tell us because he came over a minute later and says the same thing and tells us to put our food away which I was not even eating, just picking carrots off my salad which they didn’t have tomatoes for and apparently ran out of a week ago so they are pretty much out of everything which is just over the top ridiculous. And before he even gives us time to put it in the bag he tells my mom the same thing and she told me that he told her that ‘if it happened again we would be asked to not come back because he had asked us 3 times’ which was not the case because we told the girl that we were just waiting on my mom and she said ok. But he only told us the same thing once. They were the ones harassing us. And they really don’t seem too worried about covid because not one of them were wearing masks even when they weren’t behind the counter and the glass and the cook wasn’t either. My mom also ordered the same thing as my friend and got half of the amount that she did so she asked for more to have the same amount as her. And they seemed mad about that when my mom didn’t even do anything wrong. They also had an attitude when I asked for a refund on my drink because I wasn’t going to drink a flat fountain drink. The place was also very dirty. All of them need to be let go or have a strike against them because they aren’t doing their jobs and this is definitely not up to Jekyll Island standards. Jekyll is supposed to be a nice and friendly welcoming place but this dairy queen is the complete opposite of that. It’s going to drive people away. I will never ever eat here again unless it is my very last option. I will eat a bag of chips before coming back here. They don’t even have to ask for us to not come back because I definitely have no desires or plans to come back to this horrendous place. Read moreThe food was absolutely scrumptious. I have gluten and lactose intolerance issues. So, I had the double bacon cheeseburger with no bun, and cheddar cheese instead of American and white cheeses. My burger and fries were fresh, hot, and delicious. That was the best burger I've had in a fast-food restaurant in a long time. I also got my food very quickly.
However, I do have a few small complaints. Firstly, the restaurant doesn't carry pepper. I asked for salt and pepper, and she told me they don't "carry" pepper. I don't understand why any restaurant wouldn't carry pepper.
Secondly, the restaurant is very small. It is located within a Circle K, so I understand the limited space issue. But the space that they have is not being fully maximized because it needs to be redesigned. Walking around the other customers was like navigating through a maze.
Lastly, when I walked in, two young ladies were sweeping the lobby ceiling, getting dust out of the vents. They didn't stop when I walked in. It's so small in there that I had to walk under one of the brooms they were using. That job should be done outside of business hours, preferably after closing, because dust particles will remain in the air for a long time after sweeping the ceiling. That could be a big problem for asthmatics and other people with respiratory issues. Also, I walked right past them both and neither said "hello" or "welcome"...
Read moreI used to work for a Dairy Queen and if we were caught doing any of this stuff or had any issues we were fired on the spot. Our staff was ALWAYS clean and sanitary. Food was always fresh. So here it goes ..... Our fries tasted like shrimp 🤢 and you can tell that they are not fresh (very stale and cold and hard). Plus the counter our drinks were served on was covered in crumbs and food of some sort so it was all over the bottom of our drinks. All of the blizzards were NOT served upside down (because they were melted, as seen in photos). Also, my country gravy for my chicken strips had a brown color to it and it almost tasted a tad burnt? Guy that took my order, touched his computer and my card, went straight back to prep our order... WITHOUT GLOVES OR WASHING HANDS!!! 🤮He also had chocolate syrup hanging from his bottom lip when taking my order. This made me want to puke. I honestly don't know where he was eating that chocolate syrup from or how. AND... he had his headphones on and a black Hollister jacket with white flaky looking stuff all over the front. I'm sorry but I'm just being honest here. It's absolutely DISGUSTING, nasty, filthy, just plain GROSS!!!...
