We placed our order at 7:48 Pm on a Thursday evening. At the 3537 Highway 20 location in conyers, 3.6 milked from my location for delivery.... The delivery window we were given when ordering via the Dominos order tracker was 38-48 minutes, so you can imagine my disappointment when an hour later we still hadnât received our pizza. It wasnât until the 1 hour and 10 minute mark that we decided to call. I spoke with the first associate who told me the delivery window had been extended to 58 minutes, but we were now beyond that window by another 12 minutes. He suggested I call back in another 10 minutes and that a manager would then call the driver. Luckily a manager was on duty, I opted to wait to speak with a manager, after waiting on hold for 6 minutes. I had the displeasure of speaking with Karen, who clearly had not been briefed on the nature of the call, because her first. Sentence was inquiring if I was placing an order for delivery or pick up. I informed her I was not placing an order for delivery or pick up. She cut me off by saying oh, This pizza has already been delivered, how can I help you? I had to cut her off to explain that NO, the pizza had not been delivered and I wanted to know why there was no communication as to the nature of the delay of our pizza. Her response to me was that the delivery driver must be late but that the online order tracker is NEVER correct and sheâs informed her supervisors of this (although this has not been my experience with NUMEROUS other orders from a multitude of dominos locations. Once she told me the driver must be traffic in Conyers, GA at 7:38 pm, on a Thursday, coming from a location 3.6 miles away according to my GPS. I asked her what type of compensation would be made for a pizza that still had not been received now, 1 hour and 25 minutes later. To which, she responded, that she could authorize a credit for a future order. đ Now, clearly, you can understand why I would not want to place another order. and how this option does not help my presently hungry family, and card that already been charged. I informed Karen that this solution was not sufficient and that we would need a complete refund for the order. She then stated that as a manager, she was not authorized to issue such a refund. I also found this odd, because later in the conversation she then stated she WOULD void the transaction. However, by the time she made this statement, the driver finally arrived with the pizzas, as we tipped the driver ( AND YES WE TIPPED THE DRIVER BECAUSE IT WAS NOT HIS FAULT THAT THERE WAS A LACK OF COMMUNICATION AS TO THE DELAY IN OUR DELIVERY). We heard Karen on the phone telling him not to give us the pizzas, which was quite an awkward and position to put the delivery driver in. However, he gave us the pizzas anyway, considering we had now waited an hour and half.
A bit of advice from someone whoâs also worked in management- Since the order tracker can text me when the driver leaves the store.... Why not implement a feature that sends a text message if the delivery window changes. That way- the customer can either cancel the delivery and PICK IT UP ON THEIR OWN. Or the order can be cancelled altogether.
Just a thought., these options might ease a bit of the stress Karen has to endure on busy Thursday...
Read moreWorst dominos to buy pizza from when it comes to delivery. I was ask for garlic sauce get charged for it and never get it when they deliver. Today I had enough. Pizza got here no sauce again. Driver asked did I want him to bring it back I said no. I live 10 minutes away. It took him 22 minutes to get here. So that means that I would have to wait an additional 22 minutes. I called the store and asked to be refunded the money for the sauce, they put the driver on the phone and he said no. Offered to credit it to my account which has been supposedly done 6 other times however every time I order they forget the garlic sauce that I paid for with the order and the ones that I have credited on the account. So I told him I want the money back not the sauce. He said he would have to cancel the entire transaction. I said do so and recharge it without the sauce. He wouldnât do it. He said the manager said no. I asked if I go up there will I get the money back he said no, we will give me the sauce. To top it off the manager would not get on the phone to rectify the situation or talk to me. I was told he was too busy. About a 1 year 1/2. This manager cussed me out so bad because I asked how long would I have to wait for an order that was over 45 minutes late. Instead of answering the question he got loud and I got loud back and he cussed me out so bad that my husband had to come to the store and put him in his place. I called corporate and nothing was done. I didnât even get a call back. At this point I will not be ordering from here. I rather eat nasty Papa Johnâs then continuing to pardon at this location. Simple read the receipt and make sure you have everything before making a delivery. Reading is fundamental, it will prevent unnecessary confusion...
Read moreThe staff is nothing but simpletons and that never changes. Not only is the pizza of this chain awful across the board, but they hire cretins who prove time and time again to be incapable of following simple directions. Never once have they gotten an incredibly uncomplicated pasta order correct.
Coming back to add that I attempted to work at a Domino's (I was hired on the spot, but after seeing the conditions, I simply could not stand to be there). The place is disgusting. The food is definitely contaminated. Hair; not in a net or even tied up, so DEFINITELY getting in the food. Hands; gloveless, unwashed, and touching everything. The state of cleanliness; nonexistent. There was a lot of dirt and debris, and who knows what all over the back area floors and corners (that includes the kitchen). Stains all over the walls. The office was a hot mess. Gross stains everywhere. Highly doubt there was any real cleaning of the kitchen- definitely didn't see any cleaning while I was there... which was for a lot longer than it needed to be due to them not having anything under control. It definitely convinced me never to eat from the chain again. I'd suggest you do the same. There's way better ways to get a pizza fix. Frozen pizza from the grocery store would be an infinitely better option than Domino's pizza (same for any other kind of food you can order from here). Do better for yourself. Domino's obviously doesn't care enough about you to enforce the bare minimum...
