Thanks El Paso, I no longer have that excitement to come. 1st time 5 22 24 and last for a while. Drink SOB was sour oj and not right, maybe she left out the alcohol. There was a female bartender at the time w/very long black hair possibly Hispanic (as everyone was in this review). We returned the drink and didnāt try again. Biggest issue, I guess weāve been away from Hispanic restaurants regularly since the pan for far too long because the unexpected change was our being charged for soft shells. We each had fajitas, my spouse had the trio. You get three shells with your meal. Itās $2 each for more (3 total soft small shells). We didnāt know. Our bill came with our being charged for a total of four about $8. Two were an error on the server. We asked for a side of lettuce because between us we probably got enough for a childās mini sandwich. That was $ 1. So the extra cost was about $9 more on our bill. How do you eat fajitas with just 3 soft small shells? Each fajita should come with 6 total (2 pks). Never in over 30 years had we been charged for that stuff until this day. We didnāt consider inflation but wow. It was difficult for the manager to remove two off and that sour oj for a sex on the beach drink. We still tipped the server nearly 15%. He (wearing black glasses at least over 40) didnāt deserve it since we and a nearby table were neglected a good bit due to a party of about 10 that he had. The manager there is not very keen on making it all work (shorter guy-quiet like and moves around like a snail). Team work lacked. He couldāve gotten 20% because he wouldāve been fine as a server. My biggest problem was that neither supported or understand our concern or surprise about the soft shells. It wasnāt a matter of wanting something free, fyi. Maybe they were thinking that but if so we couldāve complained about the food. It was an issue about the unexpected. We felt mad when we left because that was a very unnecessary experience. Be prepared to pay for more shells and lettuce if you donāt know. I donāt think I will be able to get used to that. The food already cost more. In the end and the more I think through this, the sever may be able to control whether he charges for those. After all it increases the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIm originally from Mexico and I have been living in the area for a while so I was so excited to have an authentic Mexican restaurant close home.
When I saw your branding and post I was so happy to see all the great job and the effort to represent authentic Mexican food as our food its more than a small and ugly taco shop so Im so happy to see that you also consider a place that looks good appealing šš»šš¼
The day that I came I loved the service and the atmosphere it was amazing to see all of those nice colors and authentic elements in every detail around the restaurant, from the floor, to the lamps, the walls, the bar and more. The menu looks amazing as well but I got disappointed as soon as I saw a picture of a chimichanga as it didnāt look appealing at allšš³ so I ordered a margarita, and some tacos.
The waitress brought me chips, salsa and beans and although I was craving for some mexican food the beans were great but the chips and salsa could be improve. Later my tacos arrived so I tried the pork carnitas and taste was good as well as the steak taco and pastor taco
A few minutes later I sipped my margarita and that alcohol went straight to my head šby sip #5 I already had a headache and it taste like pour alcohol I will have to say I drink tequila pretty frequent just saying ..š so then is when I realized it was a really cheap tequila. Im rating this as 4 because I donāt want to discredit all the effort and love to make this happen but I will definitely think there is an area of opportunity to have products with a better quality & flavorful rather than just looking good to make look the plate full of food.
Btw I didnāt eat the rice or soup as it was not flavorful š„²
Hope this donāt offend anyone but you could take if from a person that loves food and know there is a great potential in the area so making this good will bring new customers and keep them šš»šš¼
Wish you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been here twice and I can honestly say I was disappointed twice.
I'd been looking forward to trying this place since I found out they were opening.
I went there the first time around the time of their grand opening.
It's menu consists of basically the same choices you would find at any Mexican restaurant.... tacos, burritos, nachos, drinks, etc. Nothing special.
I ordered a margarita, a burrito and a taco. The food came out quickly, which was good, but it tasted like nothing. No seasoning at all! And it wasn't hot. The margarita, although it looked nice, it didn't taste like anything either.
The second time I went, was just like the first. I ordered a simple grilled chicken nachos and again, my food came out quickly, but there was no flavor. It was lukewarm and my lord was it SKIMPY.
A handful of chips that were burned from being under the broiler too long, topped with a little shredded cheese, a smear of cheese dip and a sprinkle of overcooked chicken that was tough to chew.
My girlfriend had a grilled chicken taco salad which was basically the same ingredients, just in a taco bowl.
In all I paid $40 with tip for another lukewarm plate of disappointment. We left there to go find dinner because we were still hungry.
I like to give new restaurants the benefit of the doubt, but when I get the same bad experience more than once, I know it's time to move on.
The decor in the restaurant is about all it has going for it.
It's a pretty box with no present inside. I hope they get it together and read their reviews. It'd be a shame for them to lose the community's...
