Credit Card and Debit Card Users-BEWARE!!!

After eating our breakfast at the IHOP located at 4205 Stone Mountain Hwy, Lilburn, GA, we asked for the bill, double checked it and gave the waiter our Credit Card to pay.

The waiter ran our Credit Card through the machine at the table in our presence.

After running it through the first time the waiter said:

It did NOT take, I have to run it again.

After running it through a second time, the waiter said:

I have to go in the waiting area because I am not getting a connection, I’ll be right back.

I told the waiter, NO, you are not taking our Credit Card out of our sight; cancel the credit card process RIGHT NOW and we will pay in Cash.

The waiter said:

Oh, it just went through.

We received confirmation via our cell phone that the Credit Card had been processed.

So if the connection in the IHOP was good enough for us to receive the confirmation of Credit Card Payment,

the Connection was good enough for the Waiter to run the Credit Card in our Presence, the first time and process the payment.

We sat there and discussed what had happened before we left our table. My husband said he saw the same waiter pull the same trick on an elderly woman as we arrived.  We watched the other waiters, and they took the payment of their customers at the seats with no problems.

So it might be an isolated Waiter trying to SCAM customers.

I gave 2 stars because the food was actually good. The service however was awful.

This place is right next to Taco Mac, which was our first choice but full to capacity. In addition to our party of 20, there were no more than 10 customers in the restaurant. We did not expect our food to come out as quickly as it would have had there been if there were only a few of us.

But, we didn't expect to spend more than 3 hours waiting for our food. Under any other circumstance, I would have left But, this was the end of season lunch for a team of girls who live quite far from each other.

It took the waitress 45 mins just to take out drink order, another 30 minutes to get our drinks, another 20+ minutes for her to take our food orders, then an hour and a half for everyone to get their food. We had to repeatedly ask for the same thing and there were no apologies or explanations for the delay, although we knee what was causing the delay -the majority of the staff waa standing at the bar watching the Falcons game.

By the time the food arrived, most of us were full from eating chips that we took our meals to go.

I had the shrimp quesadilla and to my surprise, it was really good, even after being reheated. It wasn't good enough however for me to ever go back to...

Tried ordering online and it kept saying to call the order in. I called the order in and explained that it won’t work although my friend had just ordered sitting next to me. We both had a coupon code for 20 percent off. When I called she said to come in so we could add the promo code for check out. Got there and spoke two ppl I assumed to be managers. One said something totally different than the other. But basically the coupon code was refused. I was told they don’t use coupons at that location. Now when I say I have used them a thousand times at that exact place along with the person I went with because we both live down the street! She could have at least put 20 % off with a mangers code because it wouldn’t work online. Not helpful not friendly and my order wasnt right!!!!!! Missing items. Called back said I could come get it like no I am good. Spent 40 dollars on cold none seasoned food. The turkey sandwich had the turkey in the box not even in the bread!!!!!
