OK...my daughter and son in law tried Fat Shack out last night, so me and my son decided we'd try it out today because they were so impressed by their experience.
Let me just say that this place is doing so much RIGHT, I can't see how they won't be successful!
The vibe is cool. I love the decor. Everyone working there was very nice and hospitable. I met the Owner, Mike, and his wife, who were both just amazing and fun to talk to. Getting to hear their story and see their passion was contagious.
But I know what you're thinking...how was the food? It doesn't matter how cool the decor is and how nice the staff is if the food isn't good, right?
Well...the food was FANTASTIC! The presentation was first class and the taste was amazing. My son got the "FAT DONKEYLIPS" sandwich with fries and I got the "FAT TOMMY" sandwich with fries. Their menu is loaded with classic go-to items like wings, cheese sticks, fried pickles, and various burgers. But they also offer creative sandwiches with just about everything you could think to put on a sandwich. Not to mention their deep fried desserts! š
And did I mention that they are open late....I mean like REALLY LATE. Like as in they are open until 1AM through the week and until 3AM on Friday and Saturday! And NO that is NOT a typo.
Basically, FAT SHACK has just changed the game and and raised the bar for the other places to eat in town.
We will be eating here a lot, and I think you will too once you try it out.
When you go tell them Pastor...

On 9/8 my son and I came in a little after 8 in the hopes of ordering some food. Aside from the 2 young women behind the counter we were the only people inside. No one said anything when we walked up to the register though I had made eye contact and smiled at both.
One of the girls came up to the register and punched some stuff in and pulled a receipt out and promptly walked off without saying a word. I overheard her tell the other girl working in the kitchen that someone was āgetting on my damn nervesā and something which sounded like āIām about to go find out what they wantā at that point we turned around to leave and still no one said anything to us. It was one of the weirdest interactions Iāve ever had with service staff.
I feel for the owners. I know itās next impossible to find workers who care about your business not failing. I hope yāall can get...

Walked into The Fat Shack expecting a cheat meal. Walked out spiritually alteredāwithout a single deep-fried bite.
James is the real reason this review exists. The manās part sandwich sommelier, part life coach. When I hit a moment of crisis, he stepped in like a legendācool, intuitive, and armed with the wisdom of someone whoās helped many lost souls find the perfect fix.
Despite skipping the fryer, the food still slappedāhard. Every bite felt like a warm hug and a punchline rolled into one. Theyāve somehow cracked the code of indulgence without needing oil-soaked theatrics.
The vibe? Beautiful chaos. Like your college dorm grew up, got a grill, and never stopped partying.
Final Word: The Fat Shack doesnāt just serve foodāit delivers ridiculous joy. And James? Heās the sandwich shaman you didnāt know you needed.
Pro Tip: Forget the fryer. Trust James. Wear stretch pants. ...
