Habanero's Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

Food has no seasoning or flavor. Average customer eating here was a hillbilly or Karen who just cares about alcoholic drinks. I guess the food tastes better when you’re buzzed? Their chile relleno used a freaking bell pepper and Walmart grade cheese. That’s not how a chile relleno is made. The queso dip was straight plastic and none of the sauces had any spice to them. Enchiladas had sauce poured on them like a college kid trying to make enchiladas in a microwave. Service was extremely slow even though the whole restaurant was empty for lunch ( wonder why). I don’t think the owners have ever been to Mexico before or weren’t raised in a Mexican family. Money wasted. I don’t know what’s up with these east coast Mexican restaurants just throwing out flour tortillas and ground beef on everything with no Mexican seasonings. But I guess people with Walmart pallets eat it up. Btw that blob in the pic was their “ relleno” with no chile relleno sauce on...

I went here tonight for the first time and was excited to try it out but I won’t be back. there were maybe 4 tables filled at the time. We were sat immediately and given chips and told that someone would be with us shortly. 20 mins goes by and still nobody had came to even take our drink orders or even checked in. I am understanding but 20 min after being seated without acknowledgment from server and not even a drink order taken is not okay, especially when the restaurant was practically empty from guest at the time. When we walked out, there were servers standing around and even some sitting at the bar which is frustrating to see as we were waiting on service for Atleast 20 min. Nobody even noticed we left. We went to mi rancho down the road and we’re sat immediately/had our drink order taken and had drinks on our table within the first 3 minutes of being here. Would suggest just going to mi rancho instead the service...

I’ve been multiple times during lunch. The service was quick. The food good. The manager/owner has also been there during these times, though. I had heard the service during dinner was bad because he is not present, and I experienced this firsthand finally tonight. My friend and I went in and were seated, chips and salsa brought to us. But we sat there for 15 minutes with no one to take our drink orders while servers walked by us many times looking at our table. The restaurant had four other families dining in. They weren’t busy. The servers sat at the bar on their cell phones or stayed in the back in the kitchen. They saw us getting up to leave and didn’t rectify it. We have no idea why other people were being served and we weren’t or why they felt that it was OK to sit at the bar on their phones and ignore patrons. But it’s sad and inexcusable.
