The quality of the food has definitely gone down since opening. We use to come here multiple times a WEEK. My favorite was the potato salad and bbq potato.

The last few times, the baked potato has been dry and the portion of bbq has been reduced. So, we backed off coming; only came occasionally. Stopped in this evening, ordered the potato salad, which used to be THE reason I wanted to come here, and it is now dry and tastes nothing like it used to. Something is definitely off.

I measured (in the 2oz. Bbq sauce container) the “GENEROUS PORTION” of bbq I received on the BBQ platter, and it was a portion of 4 ounces …. Flattened out on the plate to make it look larger.

There is a possibility we have just chosen the wrong day to come every single time, but I’m afraid the quality of food has gone down as the prices have risen. There’s always “next time”, right?!! Definitely NOT our favorite first pick anymore.

I’m not mad, I just know word of mouth and reviews help others determine if it’s worth it, or not, to go places and/or...

Placed a pickup order. Arrived shortly after the expected pickup time. Was told that my order wasn’t ready. Ended up waiting for a little over 30 minutes before I noticed that a couple who came in after me had time to order and already have their food. Went back to counter only to find that my order was ready but no one had the courtesy to let me know that it was. Pretty sure that my order so in the back for long enough for the toasted bread to get soggy. If you read through the reviews enough you’ll see a trend. Service seems to be very inconsistent. Some praise this place while others have similar issues that I experienced. I’m sure there are probably a number of places in this area with similar food options which means that your service is what sets you apart from the competition. Overall it wasn’t a great first impression. From reading through the reviews I doubt the owner(s) even read the reviews which is also not...

I am very disappointed with the service we received on Wednesday, 6/19/2024 @12noon. Apparently everyone in the establishment is a manager and no one wanted to take responsibility for not taking our order. It’s open seating. Everyone at the counter looked up and acknowledged when I walked in, and did the same when my husband later came through the door. We were the only blacks in the establishment at the moment, so we weren’t hard to notice. Unfortunately, the three white men who came in well after us were immediately taken menus and asked for their drink order. Could it have been an unintentional oversight? It could have been. But when you don’t have the integrity to acknowledge your mistake and rectify it…that’s where I have a problem. I won’t be returning, nor will I offer Janwiches as a recommendation to others who look like me. Common courtesies apparently...
