This business is petty.
I placed an order for chicken and mixed vegetables, with garlic sauce, which comes with a side of white rice. I asked for the white rice to be substituted for vegatable lo main for a $3.50 upcharge, which I was OK paying.
After bringing the food home, I noticed I was given chicken lo mein with garlic sauce. On the ticket it was written chicken with garlic sauce and an up charge of $3.50 for lo mein. If I wanted chicken lo mein, why wouldnt it be stated on the ticket as such with garlic sauce as the upcharge?
When I called to inform them of the incorrect order, rather than make the correct food item, I was told they use an answering service and had to review the tape in order to make sure the order was placed correctly. Excuse me? BTW the food hasn't been touched.
I am appalled. I've been patronizing this business for some time, have never had an issue with my orders, however, after today I WILL NOT BE A CUSTOMER! Besides being accused of placing the order incorrectly, when I asked why couldn't they make the order when I am an upset customer, I was told because they needed to be able to recoup the money from the answering service first if I ordered correctly. I then asked how long would it take to review the tape and was told 15-minutes. Can you imagine placing an order, driving to pick it up to then only get home and it's wrong? Rather than the business apologizing and making an attempt to correct the problem, they were more interested in ensuring their pockets wouldn't be hit. Well, I have to say when people show you who they are believe them and they won't be getting a dime from me.
As a small-business, a community business, how you treat customers says a lot about you and your investment in this community. This interaction showed me they are leeches who only care about taking the money they make from our pockets for their own personal gain with no empathy or concern (or good customer service) for the community they have a business in.
They have 4.0 stars and I understand why, hopefully this review places them in the 3-star catergory.
FYI - I'm not writing this review in haste, as you can see my reviews are typically viewed by others, who find them helpful. In the time it took to write this review, 15-minutes have passed and of course no phone call to confirm the tape. This also proves they are not an...
Read moreProbably some of the worst Chinese food I've had in a while. First of all we started to order a sesame chicken combination platter and asked for shrimp fried rice with it, we were told it would an extra $3.50 for the rice??? Most places charge you $1.00 or $1.50 at most! So we decided to just get the sesame chicken with a pint of shrimp fried rice.. they each cost about $8.00.. After ordering I decided I wanted to add Crab Rangoon only to be told that I couldn't because the total was $4 and change, I didn't have any cash and their card minimum was $5. After I told her to forget it she then told me she would do it just this once but next time I need to have cash. I then asked for hot oil.. they don't have hot oil.. umm ok, first Chinese restaurant I've ever been to that doesn't have hot oil. When we got home to eat the chicken tasted like it had been fried in funnel cake batter and in the container it was put on a bed of broccoli which gave the impression the container was full when it actually wasn't... not what I'm used to and the rice was just that.. rice with exactly 6 shrimp in the pint! So we paid $7.95 for fried rice and they added 6 shrimp.. I could've gotten the combination platter with fried rice and asked for a side of shrimp, it would've probably worked out cheaper!! After this experience I know for sure we will be going somewhere else the next time we feel...
Read moreFor 19 years I had been a consistent patron of House Of Lin. I had often bragged of the consistency of the food over the 19 years. Yesterday, April 15, 2023 I had my son order and pick up three dinners. Upon opening the food, I immediately saw that something was amiss. The presentation and quality of the food was horrible. We all proceeded to eat, but we were convinced rather quickly that something was terribly wrong. I call the restaurant to ask if they were new owners and the lady on the phone stated they were. I mentioned the food was not good and she said 'well the customers like how they cook better than the previous owners'. She was non-apologetic that I was not pleased . We didn't finish the dinners and threw them away. The next day, as I'm writing this review, I'm having stomach issues. I am so sadden that there is not a decent Chinese restaurant in Conyers anymore. Also noticed everyone who works there drives a Mercedes Benz. Something is not right about...
