We visited the Starbucks location on Salem Road and Ellington in Conyers today on 9/3/23 at around 5 pm and had our first horrible and wholly unacceptable experience!
We pulled around to the drive-thru. This was at apx 5 pm. As typical, there were cars ahead of ours, and we moved along accordingly. Once we were in the area of the drive-thru speaker, we WAITED approximately 10-15 minutes for an employee to say ANYTHING AT ALL. We weren't even told that someone would be with us shortly. Because the wait at this point was so long, somebody in line behind us thought that we were slightly past the speaker and should probably place our order at the window. Right after that exchange with the customer behind us, we then heard a male voice through the drive-thru speaker asking about our orders. At this point, I called out that we would pull up to the window to give our order.
Once we pulled around, we had to wait several more minutes before the young man opened the sliding window. He asked me about an order that wasn't mine, and I mentioned again that I had to place my order at the window because no one spoke for 15 minutes at the speaker. The young man then states they "had a shift change" and that they don't normally take orders at the window, so my order needed to be small. I proceeded to give my order (1 venti caramel macchiato and 1 venti pumpkin spice frappaccino) and paid.
While the window was still open, we hear a female voice in the background loudly exclaiming that we needed to go back thru the drive-thru. In the next instance, a female comes to the window asking me to drive back thru the drive-thru because other orders were before mine. I told her that that didn't make sense to me and that I had already waited 15 minutes from the time that I had entered the drive-thru to even place my order. No other cars were before mine at this point, so I told her to refund my money. Even the refund process took longer than necessary, and they weren't able to provide me with a receipt.
We then drove to the Covington Starbucks on Hwy 278 and had a completely pleasant experience. The young man (Che') immediately greeted us at the drive-thru speaker and let us know that he would be with us shortly. We didn't have to sit there 10-15 minutes before somebody said something.
With respect to the Salem location, it is obvious that the employees don't care anything about their customer's experience. You have cameras and are well-aware both visually and audibly when customers are present in the drive-thru. The whole time that we patiently waited for an employee to say something, the line was getting longer and longer. It wasn't until the person in the car behind me called out that an employee decided to say something at the speaker. They didn't even care about the volume of customers waiting to place their orders. They took their time. When I drove around, there was no one waiting at the window!
What gall to ask me to go back through the drive-thru after collecting my money!
I agree with the sentiments of the negative reviews on Google! Definitely won't be back! If I do visit again, it won't be on the weekend because the weekend crew give this establishment a...
Read moreDear Starbucks Customer Service,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding two recent incidents that I experienced at two different Starbucks locations in Atlanta, GA and Covington, Ga.
On June 20, 2023, I visited the Starbucks at 800 Glenwood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30316. During my visit, I noticed that the employee handling my order placed her hand directly on the lid of my cup, right where I would be placing my mouth. This unsanitary practice was highly concerning to me, and when I attempted to address the issue by requesting a new lid, I was met with aggression from another employee who physically hit me. I was forced to involve the manager to address the situation.
Today, on July 14, 2023, at approximately 8:15 am, I visited the Starbucks located at 2450 Salem Rd SE, Conyers, GA 30013. To my dismay, I witnessed a young lady once again placing a lid on someone else's cup, touching it extensively with the palm of her hand. Aware of the potential health risks associated with this behavior, I politely requested that she refrain from touching the portion of the lid that comes in contact with the customer's mouth. Unfortunately, she disregarded my request and proceeded to handle three more lids in a similar manner, causing unnecessary delays in the service. To add to my disappointment, when I received my sandwich, it was cold, and my drink was not prepared as I had requested.
I usually opt for the drive-through service to avoid encountering such issues, but this time, I decided to visit the store directly. I was hopeful that my concerns from the previous incident would not be repeated. Regrettably, the unsanitary lid handling and poor service I experienced today have left me greatly dissatisfied with the level of quality and attention to detail at these Starbucks locations.
As a loyal customer, I have always held Starbucks in high regard for its commitment to providing exceptional service and products. However, these incidents have shaken my confidence in the brand. I believe it is crucial for Starbucks to take immediate action to address these issues and ensure that all employees follow proper hygiene protocols and provide customers with the service they deserve.
I kindly request that you investigate these incidents thoroughly and take appropriate measures to prevent such occurrences in the future. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could address the quality of my order during today's visit. It is disheartening to receive a cold sandwich and a drink that does not meet my requested temperature.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take my concerns seriously and work towards improving the overall customer experience at these locations. I look forward to hearing from you and resolving these...
Read moreI had the worst experience at any Starbucks I’ve ever visited this morning. First, after sitting for over 10 minutes waiting on my order, I noticed everyone who had come in after me was gone and there was no one left waiting but me. I went to ask the barista and she was dismissive and said she had mobile orders. I replied not everyone ordered mobile because there were people who ordered drinks in line at the counter after me and now gone.
She then said it’s been busy and she would work on mine. I had a reusable cup and she asked me where is it. Hmm, I gave that when placed the order now 15 minutes ago! She found it and seemed to have a whatever attitude.
Finally got the drink and my sandwich. But when I opened the sausage sandwich in the car, it looked like it had been microwaved for who knows how long! Soggy looking bread and slightly burnt cheese. I was beyond frustrated and took it back inside. The lady at the counter was like we will get you a nee sandwich which was said in a very dismissive tone. Then the original barista started talking smack to her coworkers about me returning (in their defense, they just looked at me and didn’t respond). I was livid. I asked the young man for her name because this was unacceptable. He laughed and said I have to protect my team. I was like what about your customers? This is terrible service and her attitude is horrid. He said she had a long morning and laughed. Then he said I’ll talk to her and laughed again. That told me NOTHING would be done about this young lady’s service and nasty attitude. I will be filing a formal complaint...
