Davidos Pizza & Wings — Restaurant in Georgia

Everything. I have patronized this business for years with my son. It was one of his most fav. Places. But now it will be. A memory. I ordered my food around 817p. First i was overcharged until i asked for total again. Ordered two combos. Small pep w. Green peppers, 6pc wing lem pepper and large drink. 2nd combo small pepp w. Grn peppers and large drink family fry. Got there one pizzas were wrong no bell peppers. They gave me burned fries on top and bottom and I know they knew it b.c I saw it as soon as box opened. So i said ill be nice. I asked the girl at window to take them out and dont throw fries away ill still eat them..there was no seasoning like they normally do but I said. I got some lawrys at home. No problem. Sent them.both bk. Got another pizza that looked like someone rushed. Threw it in the oven . So I asked for my receipt. I was told it's emailed. I told the girl I would call the owner in the morning b.c I had NEVER experienced this type of service before. Younger man. That resembled older owners - son potentially asked what's wrong. He... Said he was the owner. I explained the burned fries which he already knew about. Showed him pizza and he nonchalantly asked me what was wrong. I couldn't do anything but laugh. Pizza was not round as normal it was exceptionally thin. No apology for the quality. Service or anything and looked at me like I was unreasonable and asked did I want a refund. Normally I do and give food back and drive away and provide my terrible experience via reviews, which I will still do. But my son asked me for this so this time I kept the terribly made food. This was supposed to be a 5-star review but I have to keep it real:

The good: The food is actually good! The wings are Three Dollar Café flavorful. On a good day, the wings are hot, fresh and crispy. I have a family member from New York and they like the pizza. Picking up an order is super convenient because they have a drive-thru window which means you won’t have to get out of your car.

The bad: The food preparation is inconsistent. Some days the wings are dripping in grease and taste old. The fries taste freezer burnt and old (like old chicken grease). The pizza crust is different every visit: cracker (thin) hard and crunchy one day and on your next visit, it may be soft and fluffy. Personally, the pizza tastes half a step above Little Caesar’s for me—I’ll pass.

The ugly: The customer service is really bad. The energy at this place always comes off as a low or negative vibe. When you place a phone order, it’s like pulling teeth. I feel like I need therapy afterwards. (How do you have a sour attitude EVERYTIME you take a customer’s order?) I’m not a fan of the online ordering process because the website is not user intuitive. I think this is a Black woman owned franchise because a few times I have seen what looks like the owner or manager interacting with the staff. My first time there I was craving pizza I'm a foodie and this place had good reviews . The overall experience was ok . The interaction at the front was ok young lady was friendly told me 15 to 20 mins I came back in 30 just for good measure and food was said to not been even started !! Of course I was upset . I'm generally a calm person so I'm just like ok so how long from this point again told 15 to 20 mins now I don't know about phone orders or pre orders but the actual parking lot and establishment wasn't crowded it was a Saturday early so wasn't many ppl even out yet . Then when I came back I legit sat in the parking lot drove to the window my food wad luke warm at best which made me even more upset because supposedly it was fresh. The flavor was just ok for the price point and the wait I was expecting superior flavors and food my wings lemon pepper were overly salty my hot wings tasted sweet instead of hot not even a little heat . The pizza was just pizza nothing stood out . Hopefully your experience is better than mine . Based on other reviews I'm guessing this is not their standard but my experience wasn't pleasant .
