Upon arrival, there was a short wait to be seated, which was stated to be 5-10 minutes, though we ended up waiting a bit longer. I travel with a medical service dog in a carrier, and when the hostess attempted to seat us at a small two-top booth, I requested a normal booth instead. There were three open booths and a half-booth with two seats on one side, but she seemed flustered by the request and seated us at the half-booth. The hostess was not attentive or sensitive to the situation, which was frustrating, especially given the presence of my service dog. My guest took a chair.
As I got up to wash my hands, the booth seat flipped up, causing me to fall to the floor. It was extremely embarrassing, especially since I have a broken knee, had been on my feet all day, and was exhausted, making it hard to get back up. To make matters worse, both my back and knee are now hurting considerably, and I'm very frustrated by the entire experience.
The restroom wasn’t in the best condition either. Water and paper towels were scattered across the counters, and there was toilet paper on the floor in the handicap stall.
As I left the bathroom, I ran into our server, Nina, and informed her about the fall. She immediately apologized and went to notify management. Upon returning to the table, Nina met me there, adjusted the booth, and secured the seat back into place. She also mentioned that management had agreed to offer me a complimentary dessert.
While the meal was good and Nina handled the situation quickly and professionally—she was an excellent server—management never came by the table to check on me. I actually pulled my knee and back during the fall, and although Nina fixed the seat temporarily, it flipped forward again later when I went to stand up to leave. Management's absence was surprising, especially given the seriousness of the situation. Offering a dessert, while kind, didn’t feel sufficient for what happened, especially since I had to physically pull myself off the floor. I ended up giving the dessert to my guest.
I am being generous with this review because of Nina’s excellent service, but the lack of attention from management and the failure to move us to a more stable table after the incident was disappointing. Honestly, I feel my entire meal should have been comped. I suggest the owner address this issue with management, and I believe someone should contact me to offer a...
Read moreThis quality of food at this location has gone down significantly. Well before the pandemic started. But we recently decided to give it a chance again. For my wedding rehearsal dinner my mother was nice enough to purchase longhorn for everyone, the order was for over $200.
The issues started right from pickup. We parked and contacted the pickup phone number at 6:45pm to let them know we were outside because online the order said it would be ready at 6:40pm. They said it would be ready shortly and someone would be out. 20 minutes passed and I sent my fiancé at the time inside to see why it was taking so long, he was told that it was almost done.
Fast forward another 20 minutes I call the number again and get the same response. Finally after an hour passed I went inside and demanded to know how longer our food would be. Then I was told by the hostess that they couldn’t locate our order! I let him know that it was a large order and there was no way it could be missed! I showed them my order receipt and they were finally able to locate my order. They said they couldn’t find the name because they heard it wrong 😐 Not our fault but we just wanted our food at that point because we had our entire bridal party at home waiting for dinner.
Fast forward to dinner. Three of the orders were completely wrong and two of them were the wrong sides. The food was cold because it had been sitting at the restaurant for an hour the whole time we were waiting. Steaks were way overcooked and salads had a lot of brown and red lettuce.
The next day, MY WEDDING DAY, everyone was feeling sick and had diarrhea from the food all into the morning. I was very disappointed because it was supposed to be a special day and my morning was ruined. Luckily we were able to still get married. My mom called to complain a couple of weeks later and the manager Solomon did not show any empathy and even asked her why didn’t other people call in to complain. Smh. Terrible service and management. The good thing is we were able to pull through and still...
Read moreI really enjoyed this place. I grew up in this area and frequented a lot of places in the strip malls surrounding this restaurant, but never went here namely because at the time I couldn't afford it. However, I went here tonight with a friend and really found an exceptional place.
Maintenance - The restaurant is very clean and organized with a nice, recognizable decor for the Longhorn brand. It was a little odd to see tables covered with condiment bottles at first but I imagine that it had to do with COVID so I didn't question it. Our table, booths, and menus were like brand new (the only distracting element was the flickering lamp that made our table seem like it was haunted, but it didn't bother me too much).
The Staff - Just amazing: extremely attentive, good-humored, polite, and accommodating, it really made us feel special and they were very intentional in timing their visits to the table accordingly; our waitress rightfully received a very nice tip.
The Atmosphere - There was a really nice buzz in the restaurant from the staff, patrons, and music that made it feel nice and welcoming. The lighting was nicely set to a warm, soft vibrance that lended itself nicely to the interior. I could've sat in my booth for hours and have been totally comfortable staying.
The Food - Everything was exceptional, the steak and shrimp were cooked precisely to my specifications and seasoned beautifully, the broccoli was colorful and tasted so fresh, barely requiring any seasoning, as well as my loaded baked potato. The appetizers were also quite good along with the bread (which tastes so homey I wanted to just crawl inside and live in it). Everything was hot upon arriving to the table, and it did so promptly (my only gripe was the rice pilaf that bedded the shrimp was a little overseasoned, but not enough to make it unenjoyable).
This place sets the gold standard for what a steakhouse should be and really speaks to Longhorn's longevity. It is a visit you will not regret - I steak my...
