I am a professional technician. I have shopped at harbor freight for many years. I have trained and continue to train many young technicians. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HARBOR FREIGHT to them anymore. I needed a roll cart on short notice and stopped by my local harbor freight with my SUV. I measured the roll cart and saw that it would fit in my SUV. I then purchased the roll cart. After purchase I was told they would not be able to give me the item unless I had a truck or trailer. I informed them that it would fit in my vehicle, they still said no. OK I understand the policy, they don't want me hurt loading the item. They were about to close after this exchange so I called them the next day to have my item delivered for a $50 fee. They informed me I would need to go into the store to make the payment. I was at work so I had to send my wife to go and pay the fee (60 minute trip). The next day I received a call from the delivery driver informing me he could not deliver the box at the intended location. Harbor freight never asked for any information about the deliver location. The driver then told me he would return to the warehouse unless I found another location for him to drop the box. I frantically called around to try and find a location and eventually found one. It was dropped at that location (not the intended one). I then had to load the box into the same SUV that I went to Harbor Freight in the first place with by myself. It fit and I loaded it fine. After all this I called customer service. They were very rude and said "Well was the item delivered?" I informed them about all the struggles I had with the store and delivery and my long time support of their stores. They did not care. This experience has tarnished their reputation in my eyes. I am a long time customer and have not...
Read moreLong time Harbor Freight shopper, I have spent a ton of money. Multiple welders, icon stuff and so on. However I have begun to notice a trend with some stores. They put returned “USED” stuff back on the shelf and sell for full retail. This is dead wrong. I will never buy or visit this location again. This is second time this has happened.
I believe that if a customer returns an item because they didn’t want not due to being defective than there is a restock fee which is then passed on to the new buyer as a discount due to being used. The item is NOT put back on the shelf and sold with the misrepresentation of being new. It’s not new it’s used. How do I know how this person used the item that I have now paid full price for and if I want to go and take back I will have to deal with a customer service rep who may or may not believe my story?? Maybe they were the employee who originally took the return and doesn’t want to shed light on themselves if they broke any company policies taking the item back. Either way it’s not my problem. I planned on returning this item for a new unused one and just moving on but have just been too busy with work, done...
Read moreBad experience here today. Thanks to Fonda. Usually, my experience is always great. I would go in knowing exactly what i want, be greeted, asked if i need assistance, and properly checked out.. Today, was different because of Fonda. She was horribly rude and condescending. She accused me of trying to return a product with withheld pieces. I should not be handled this way because she is not familiar with the product in a store where should be providing at least positive customer interactions. The product was literally 2 pieces with the illustration on the packaging. I’m just appalled because their is no excuse for this…. Be better!!! I stopped by with my receipt and product in hand for a simple even exchange. She has single-handedly ruin my desire to shop at this location. I usually can get over foolish people and their personally problems but this one stings a bit. I am seriously considering returning every item and warranty that i have purchased from there within the last 90 days. I will speak to management in...
