Nearly a year has passed, and things finally seem to be coming back together. Only issue was a six-pack ordered by the waitstaff to the kitchen rather than the single that was asked for. No worries, she was newer and I really didn't need the 10 wings.

Sad to say, but the kitchen issues seem to have not been a one off. Over FORTY minutes for my sister's salad to come out... then it disappeared back into the kitchen before making it to the table because they realized the dressing wasn't on the side. Her meal was so late coming to the table that we had finished eating our wings (a 20 and a 6) before it finally came.
On the upside, the front of house manager took absolutely great care and not only apologized, but comped the salad and a bit more. Our hearts were breaking for our server who was so upset with the kitchen... but we didn't let that affect our tipping, she was great!
So, what does this mean for future visits? Maybe not again for quite a while... after all, there were maybe only ten or so tables seated in the whole restaurant.

Food took forever, no soap in either restrooms, no napkins, had to ask for silverware, no hand wipes after, had to remind to get part of our order... and, sadly, we were not the only people experiencing the same issues. A manager came to speak with the table next to us and told them he hadn't even been in the kitchen to know what was happening... what a fall from what had been consistently amazing service.
Think we will wait a bit and see if this was just a one-off.
Alexander is a fantastic server. We are still coming to this location over any other. Service has always been great, orders always correct, and quality top notch. You can not go wrong coming to Taco Mac Lawrenceville!

First time in this Taco Mac, very, very happy with the interior, considering the previous tenants of this building had it dark as a cave! Beautiful, bright, and well lit!
Ashlynn was right on time with refills, checking back if we needed anything... I never felt like she was hovering and, at the same time, never had to look for her.
Asian heat, Bar-B-Q, and Honey Twang wings were very flavorfu, bone-in, and the reason we came!
Sweet potato fries accompanied and were great.
Broccoli... wow... no idea what exactly they put on it, but I'm definitely getting it again!

I will start my statement with, it's sad that when you decide to go out and take your family out for dinner and a good time you end up having a horrendous time. That's what I experienced last night at this location. I will say my server was top notch (Charles) this team member was attentive and very professional. So this is what made it bad, everything was going great at first, I got some food and a beer my wife got some food and a cocktail drink and my boys got food and soda. Half way into our meal out server asked if we would like refills on our drinks and we said yes. He brought my boys all a second round and he then went and put the drink in for my wife. Well here is were it all went down hill. We practically finished our meal and my wife's second drink never came came. Our server went twice to the bartender to ask for the drink. The whole time the bartender was socializing with his customers at the bar. I understand that he has that responsibility but, the whole time we are waiting we saw him literally give everyone at the bar give a second round while our server went to him to ask about the drink and this guy was not giving any care to his fellow team member. Our server came to us on several occasions to tell us how sorry he was about the situation. And I have been in that location before on a busy day and drinks were not delayed as much as they were that night. And to top it off when the bartender finally gets to doing the drink because our server is at this point in front of him asking for it, he gets the nerve to say something to him that was not professional in any way and shout at my wife from behind the bar and say well you are going to have to wait until I want to do it. Our server drought the drink over and he apologized for what had transpired and I kindly asked to speak to his manager. So the manager (Jason) finally came over to us and asked what the issue is, I told him everything and to be honest I didn't feel like he was going to do anything about it. That is why I am writing this. I am a working professional just like them and I understand that sometimes somethings fall out of control but a simple I am sorry goes a long way. This was my first visit to this particular Taco Mac and I only write reviews when things are memorable either good or bad.
When I arrived I was seated immediately which was a BIG PLUS!!
So I requested to sit on the patio and initially was told by one of the hosts that he wasn't sure if it was open or they had a server. This was around 9:30 and they don't close till 2.
Well my patience paid off so out to the patio I went. My server introduced herself to me and I have to say that Shelby is ONE OF IF NOT THE BEST SERVERS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! Just to PUT THIS IN PERSPECTIVE I'VE DINED OUT LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF TIMES OVER THE COURSE OF MY LIFE SO THIS COMES WITH MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH ALL LEVELS OF SERVICE!!
Shelby was one of the most ATTENTIVE SERVERS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE and I'M TALKING ABOUT EVEN AT FINE DINING ESTABLISHMENTS!!
I placed my order and Shelby went over my order again just to confirm everything was correct. On top of that the manager came out to make sure he understood how I wanted my food prepared. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Plate and while my food was good it wasn't as HOT ( TEMPERATURE) AS I WANTED. It also didn't have as much cheese as I wanted and for reference I have the last visit at another location for comparison. The chicken breasts seemed a bit smaller than my previous visit ( shrinkflation) but I didn't say anything or send anything back. For my first side I had broccoli extra soft with sauteed mushrooms and pepper jack cheese on top. The mushrooms were supposed to be on top with the cheese covering them but they were brought in a ramekin instead which was OK I was shocked at how small the portion was and the TEMPERATURE WASN'T AS HOT AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED IT TO BE. The second side was rice with mushrooms and cheese and it was good but like the rest of my food NOT THAT HOT!!
I would have given this place 5 Stars had the FOOD BEEN BETTER BUT SHELBY WAS THE SHINING STAR OF MY NIGHT!!
