99 out of 100 times ordering pizza from Marcos on Sixes has been a wonderful experience. The pizza is my favorite in the area, and I don't even mind paying higher prices for it. But holy God, the staff on 4/15 at 7:00 PM was not adequately trained in food service, customer service, or common sense. We have family in town this week, and after a long day of preparing for our son's wedding this weekend, my parent's decided pizza would be a great way to finish the day. I enthusiastically recommended Marco's, since they don't have a Marco's in their part of the country. My wife called to place the order (first mistake). She ordered a large pizza, with only only cheese on one half, and ground beef on the other. The second pizza she ordered was the meat supremo. This pizza comes with several types of meats, like pepperoni, bacon, sausage, and whatever else. The employee on the phone was not familiar with such an item, and my wife remembered that the item name had changed, but she couldn't remember what the name was. She described it to the employee as the pizza that comes with all meat. He had no clue. So (and I promise I am not making this up) she had to go to the marco's website to find out the name for the all-meat pizza had been changed to (and I am not making this up) "the all-meat pizza". So she orders the second pizza. My daughter went to pick up the pizza, and she brought it home without checking the accuracy of the order (her mistake, I guess). The first pizza (and I promise I am not making this up) was indeed a half cheese pizza, and the other half did indeed have ground beef, but with no cheese. They literally made a pizza topped with tomato sauce and cheese on one half, and tomato sauce and ground beef on the other. It was indeed a Kodak moment. I'm not sure if this was our fault for not explaining to the order taker that pizza should mostly always include cheese on it... but not only did it make it past him... it made it to the people who prepared it and put it in the oven as well. As for the All-Meat pizza... well it was just ground beef. Apparently the employee taking the order didn't realize that an All-Meat pizza was an actual item on the menu and decided that the only meat on an all-meat pizza should be ground beef because.... well... So I took the pizza back to Marco's, and asked for a refund... it took a bit of time to get it, but they were finally able to open the cash drawer. I was told that there was a bit of confusion about what my wife wanted when she ordered a pizza that was half cheese/half ground beef. So yes, these are first world problems. "Oh no, I didn't get what I wanted on my pizza." However, by the time I was able to go to Publix and get a few rotisserie chickens, and some other side items, it was really late. My parents needed to get back to their campsite before the gates were closed. My wife, who has stage 4 cancer, and just wanted to enjoy an easy peaceful meal with our family before taking her medication with dinner to go to bed. Instead she had to take her medication on an empty stomach. My fault for depending on a store staffed with clueless teenagers to be able to deliver on a simple request. If the whole situation hadn't been as laughably pathetic as it was, I might have been more upset. It never would have occurred to me that it was possible to completely and utterly muck up a pizza order as simple as the one my wife placed. I do not blame the teenagers trying to operate the restaurant. It's not their fault that they haven't been trained. Obviously they have more business than they can handle, you would think a competent adult would be on site to make sure ridiculous mistakes like this couldn't happen. Obviously Marco's makes good pizza., and literally every other time has been a positive experience... but for what they are charging, mistakes like this should never happen. I actually just wished Little Caesars was still open across the street so I could have gotten a few hot and readies... Sad day when Little Caesars is preferable to Marco's. But still 5/5 stars.

Picked up 2 pizzas; one was the works pizza, the other was a pepperoni. The Work pizza was cooked with just cheese, then the toppings were placed on top of the cheese - the pizza wasn’t cooked with the toppings, they were just thrown in the middle after the pizza was cooked. They also left 2” between the crust and cheese. Pepperoni was so incredibly greasy, the grease got all over my car, it was dripping from the bottom of the box.

The pizza arrived mangled. Trying to figure out if someone dropped it or took a bite and tried to hide it. My expectations weren’t even that high I just figured they’d at least send it as a whole pizza not whatever this is. It’s literally just toppings on the cardboard box

Long review, but I love to support our community and we love pizza so I hope this will help turn things around. I'm giving two stars instead of one, because we used to love this Marcos for the longest time. We stopped coming here about 6 months ago, because we were all very sick one night and wanted delivery for the kids. They told us it would arrive in 30 min time, but we called after an hour it still didn't arrive. They said it was coming in a few minutes. After another 30 minutes I called again, and they said it was coming. Finally it was about 1.5 hours after expected delivery, I called back, and they finally told me their delivery person was the only one, and they had to come back and still had multiple orders ahead of ours. (Fine, but why didn't they just say this from the start and revise my delivery time, or offer to let me cancel if they couldn't do it when we thought?) It was almost 8pm at this point, so I told them never mind, as no telling if or when we'd get a pizza. We figured maybe someone had called out sick that day so let it go. We gave them another chance by calling a pick up order. We arrived when estimated time but our food wasn't ready on time. Because I had small kids, I went back to my car, and the workers said they would bring my order out to me when it was ready. (Yay, great customer service!) However, I watched multiple people coming in and out getting their pizzas over the course of 20 minutes. The staff were also inside cutting up, having a great time, dancing and laughing. (Which is okay if you are getting your job done). I didn't want to be rude and go back in and ask if my pizza was ready yet since they were nice enough to offer to bring mine out to me when it was ready. Finally after 20 minutes I walked back in with the kids, sheepishly asked if my pizzas were ready and they said..." Oh sorry I forgot about getting those outside to you...." Which was horribly unprofessional and awkward. So that was the last time we went there-- we won't be ordering from here just because our time is really valuable and I can order delicious pizza from right across the street from our local pizza shop and they are always great with customer service, and every time our order is done in under 30 min. Marcos has lost us as a customer, after we were regulars for about two years before this. I hope they can turn it around because we love to have options in our area! It will be a long time before we...

Today 2/7 was fundraiser night at my daughter's school. Her grade participated and in return we were to buy a pizza and they would deliver it with the box they created. For the first time I decided to participate and also try Marcos' Pizza for the first time. I called to placed an order at noon for 6pm Delivery so that my 8 year old who I pick up from afterschool can see the box they made as participation for the fundraiser. A person named Danny calls me 40 min before delivery to confirm my name, the school, teacher, student name, the order and my address once again. 6:20pm comes around there is no delivery, I called and a girl who answered said it was delivered, nothing was delivered so she said it must have been the wrong house and that the delivery driver was to head out again in 5 min. Waited 20 min and nothing was delivered, I called and got Danny again and he said it was delivered i said no the girl just told me 20 min ago they were going to redeliver and he said ok she'll be there. Called again 10 min later then another male said she's "pulling in now" waited at the front porch nothing no one was there another 5 min I called again and said it was delivered i said no they previous guy said she was pulling in no one pulled in then he puts me on hold and he says oh yea she's on marble quarry now she should be there by now. At this point it was past 7pm my 8 year old goes to afterschool and on an empty stomach since NOON! not only frustrated at the dog and pony show, but also my child was looking forward to getting the pizza on the box they designed and that marco's pizza promised they would delivered the pizza in! The guy who I spoke last who said she's on Marble quarry which is the street facing my backyard had no problem refunding the money. Looking at previous reviews it shows how disorganized. The least they could have done is deliver it to the correct home. I had a hungry child thanks to them and had to improvise on making dinner where it only added to past dinner time. Shame on all of you. No customer obsession...
