We have never been here or even knew that it existed, so we thought we'd check out their rooftop. The restaurant setup looks nice. We were directed to the rooftop where we could take any seat that was available. Certain menu items are not sold upstairs. We were given a small menu which we were told was the menu for the restaurant, when in fact we later learned it was just a rooftop menu with just a few items on it. Our server Chris was very friendly, and got us a full menu. We ordered a steak dish was pretty good. We decided to get some Margaritas. I am not sure which one I got but it was okay. Mine had orange liqueur in the recipe. It tasted processed from the mix they use, so avoid it if you can. They are overpriced on the margarita side as they do have a skinny margarita for almost $18. (Apparently fresh lime costs way more) My lady had the pineapple jalepeno margarita and that made her sick. Sick enough that she could not eat when the food came out. We just got a to go box for it. I brought this to the server's attention and asked him to remove that drink. He said he would check with his manager. The bar manager never showed concern or even spoke with me and told the server "drinks are non refundable." I has to ask for the GM, then had to go downstairs to get the GM myself. She was kind and removed the drink. Although ahe did say well "maybe she drank on an empty stomach, or if it was the food it would be different." I thought to myself what does it matter? She was surprised that the manager upstairs did not remove the drink or even speak with us. He sure did make his way downstairs once he knew I was going to speak with the GM. He huddled with her and still never spoke to me or even asked if my wife was okay. The first visit here was dissapointing to say thw least. They would have gotten a 4, but when there is no concern for a customer, this is not the kind of establishment that I come backto or recommend to...
Read morePOOREST SERVICE EVER On June 30, sat upstairs. Tall, long haired bar tender/waiter comes to get our order, wearing kool kat dark shades @ sunset. At first, I thought he was a band member coming to say hello & welcome. Nope… he’s the waiter. Two drinks were ordered & when sipped we almost gagged. Mr kool kat with the shades asked what’s wrong, and we said the bartender doesn’t know how to make skinny margaritas. Mr kool kat examines & said our drinks only have tequila & soda only, saying bartender made mistake. Kool kat offers to make new drinks but we said not from that bartender. Well, Mr kool kat with a punk-like attitude replies with, “don’t offend my bartender” adding “I’ll defend my bartender all day long” saying “mistakes happen”. Mind you.. the drinks are $18 each at this joint. Staying calm.. we asked kool kat to summon the manager. Mr kool kat comes back saying “Sandy the manager was busy cooking in the kitchen” & said, I quote: “She’s not coming to hear you complain!” We left the drinks and got up to walk out & Mr kool kat quickly comes running to us —handing us our bill. We went to the downstairs bar and asked for the manager and after waiting 5 minutes, simply walked out of the restaurant; Tossing the unpaid bill on the downstairs bar. Atmosphere & scenery at this joint is wonderful. However, the staffers (upstairs) are young & unskilled when it comes to providing excellent customer service. The manager Sandy has always been very professional & friendly on our prior visits… but this nite was our last nite visiting this joint. Mr kool kat chose a preference NOT to “defend” his customers instead chose to “defend” his bartender. Obviously, a friendship & loyalty between these youngsters is stronger than growing...
Read moreWe came in here, early at 4:55. The restaurant was empty. A storm was about to roll in so we requested covered patio. Which, again, was empty. We had a party of 10. They informed us the tables only held 4. So we asked for 3 tables to accommodate our party. They told us no, the tables were reserved for others who “called ahead”. They did offer us an indoor table. However, we had children intent on eating outside. We waited longer, until 5:20, trying to decide what to do. Again asked for a table (the restaurant was still basically empty. The outdoors especially were. A ton of waiters standing around staring at us as we asked for a table). My friend asked if we could sit at 3 tables. The young man at the door said “whatever”. Which is poor customer service to begin with. He told us to go inside and speak to them. As we did, the manager came to tell us “unfortunately we can only seat you at 3 separate outdoor tables”. Which is funny because that is what we had asked for to begin with. The young man at the door then proceeds to say my friend is rude, in front of her children, might I add. All she had done was asked to be seated at 3 tables. At that point, I told the manager how unfriendly and rude everyone is and she told me “they weren’t used to seating large parties outdoors” 🙄 Basically my review is this. Delicious food. Really stellar food, honestly. But customer service is awful. They are counting on you knowing their food is good and that they are always busy. So they don’t care if they are rude to you. They know another customer is right behind you. To me, that’s not worth my time and money. No matter how good...
