I purchase coffee at this McDonalds almost every day. However, on 12/12/18 at around 2-2:30 p.m., I went to this location just to get coffee as it helps clear my headache when I have one and I focus better without taking anything for it. I left to go take care of errands in the area; but when I stopped to have the coffee, I found it a lot weaker than usual. I completed some errands and went back to McDonalds to buy their glazed chicken strips, but to also point out that the coffee I purchased earlier tasted like water. After receiving my order, the window employee asked me to pull up and wait and they would replace it. I waited for at least 10 minutes. No one came out, so I went in. They were busy...true. I saw the same window employee working nearby and I stated to him that I have been waiting a while outside and he never came back with my coffee. He started saying to me, "[y]ou bought the coffee this morning and..." I told him to stop, and that I did not purchase the coffee this morning.
That's when Hakim intervened. He said he was sorry about the coffee and that he made another pot. He asked me if I liked McDonalds coffee, and I said yes. He gave me a packet of McDonalds coffee as well as replaced my cup, and gave me a complementary sundae. The ice cream machine down almost every time I tried to purchase a sundae, so I was surprised that it was working. But I thanked him anyway and left.
Hakim is the type of employee who should be kept in management, because he has good people skills and is an asset in the fast food industry, and specifically as a McDonalds employee at this time. He remedied the situation immediately and effectively; good public relations skills.
Had it not been for Hakim, I would have given the service one star.

   Read moreI have lived in 5 different states. I love McDonald's more than I should. This McDonald's is the worst experience I've ever had. Service is garbage. Example, I have the app and they told me I couldn't use the code for dollar fries. The cashier told me she doesn't know how to do it. I asked her to ask somebody that knows. She told me as she chowing down on her food at the pay window, that she didn't have to. I just pay and go. At 11 pm they have all their lights on as I go to the order screen. They tell me they're closed. I understand it's a pandemic but when I drive past the pay window and the pickup window, I counted 5 employees sitting down. All good, maybe something happened. I understand, but why leave the lights on and have customers waste their time. I have plenty more stories of their ineptitude. Like consistently missing parts of my order and giving me food that was obviously sitting out too long, but this is part of the fast food industry... I guess. Unfortunately, this is right up the street from my house and I continue to punish myself with giving this McDonald's a second third fourth fifth sixth seventh eighth chance. I am done. I will drive two exits up, and drive the extra 15 minutes to go to another McDonalds when I have my craving for this guilty pleasure after a 12 hour work day as a gm of a restaurant. Truly sad that one location could put such a bad taste in my mouth about the totality of a huge company like McDonald's. But it seems that this location has had it's bad reviews and corporate McDonald's does nothing to fix it.    Read moreIâve pretty much have had it with this place! Being that itâs convenient I stop at this location but At this point Iâm more than willing to stop eating McDonaldâs all together. Me and several people I know ALWAYS have a problem with customer service at this place. Most days you donât even get food! Like last night I drive in and thereâs a line of people still waiting Outside yelling to the speaker with no answer. I drive around to the window and a young lady named Autumn tells me they arenât serving food. I ask why, she said because the are switching shifts. I asked a time frame in which they would start serving again. She told me she had no idea! Mind you I can see threw the window and they are all playing and chasing each other threw the store. This isnât the first time Iâve came to this location and left without food. Or left with only half a meal because they forgot the rest. On one morning I literally had someone tell me that they forgot to put my food in the bag after handing me a bag of just condiments!! Ive had friends go to this location just to be told they were closed after 10 when itâs a 24 hour location. Or they donât have burgers! How in the hell do you not have burgers. I never thought Iâd write a review on McDonaldâs because well itâs McDonaldâs. But the custom service in that place is far beyond poor.
