I get it, they just opened so there's a little bit of trial and error going on, ironing out the kinks and whatnot. To be expected from a newly opened restaurant. The horchata was better than most Mexican restaurants in this area. I picked a combination plate; 1 taco, 1 enchilada and 1 tamale. All of it either chicken or beef, I chose chicken. The tamale was really good, just a little bit soggy, but hey, I prefer that over a dry tamale, and I've been served that at over restaurants nearby. At first glance the enchilada looked really dry, but it was VERY delicious! Only thing I would do differently is add more enchilada sauce to it. Otherwise the chicken in it was very flavorful and juicy. The taco, eeeh, it was just okay. A beef or even a fish taco would have been better, however, I don't think fish was an option. The only disappointing dish was the chunky guacamole appetizer. It was $9 and not mashed, but i had a feeling since it said "chunky". I used to live in San Diego CA 5 minutes from the border, I know what guacamole is supposed to look like and that just wasn't it. But they clearly do have 2 types of guacamole because my mom's plate came with the correctly prepared guacamole. I would prefer that over the chunky and she agreed. Also the guacamole portion for $9 was pretty small. There is another Mexican restaurant on the 96 next to Duncan that has a REALLY great guacamole appetizer also for $9 but their portion size is well worth the price. Just something for the owners to think about. As for the restaurant decor, love the colors, love the theme, very nice tables. All-in-all it was a...
Read moreAbsolutely miserable experience. This place should be called El Bandido, because if you go here instead of Cotija, you are getting ROBBED. there's an up charge of $1.14 to pay with a card. Everything on that menu is astronomically overpriced, $4 for a Jarrito, a drink I can buy at Walmart for less than a dollar. The food is good, but the portion sizes are misrepresented on the menu. A 10" burrito sounds like a good deal until the food comes out and it's half as big as something you'd get at any other Mexican place in town. The service we got was dreadful. The gentleman waiting on us filled our salsa once, served drink and food, and then left us for 45 minutes. My partner and I had to ask another waiter for the check and to go boxes, and then the head of house came and asked us what we needed. I told her a check and to go boxes. She got us the boxes, CHECK WAS IN HER HAND, and then walked back to the front and left us for another 20 or so minutes before our original waiter came back with a check. I've had a lot of experiences at a lot of different restaurants all over Georgia, and this was one of the worst I've ever had anywhere. Go somewhere else, where you can get cheaper food that's better quality and...

I kept hearing people speak great things about this Mexican restaurant, but I hadn't been before. My wife was begging me to go, so we finally went. Let me tell you, this restaurant is about all she wants to eat these days. And I must agree, it is really good!
I usually order the fajita quesadilla. Medina's does an excellent job at meal preparation and presentation. The meals have always filled me up and I've never left hungry. My wife has had the house special and enjoyed it as well. The food was served at appropriate temperatures and was cooked to perfection.
As soon as you walk in the door the hosts have been very friendly. It may have been the owner or manager, because they have checked on us at other times as well. Either way, it made us feel like we were taken care of well. Our waiters/ waitresses have always done a good job.
When we walked in the restaurant we had our choice of seats. But just a few minutes later the restaurant filled up quickly. The secret must be out!
We'll...
