3/6/2025: Lanie took great care of us tonight!!! The oysters special with the Calabrian chilis was PHENOMENAL!!!! So good!! We came close to closing unfortunately so not everything was the normal extra special super duper good. But Lanie made sure we were taken care of. You just can’t beat the service here! 1/24/2025: Shelby was our server. One of the only times we didn’t sit at the bar. She’s been amazing with great recommendations. Attentive even though she has tables and a large party. She lets us know before she goes to do big party things so we don’t think she’s ignoring us. The hangar steak special was PHENOMENAL!!!! The scallops did not disappoint. Hubby said they were very good. Cooked perfectly not raw or overcooked. Drinks were perfect. As always Props just doesn’t miss. We really love it here! OMG the crème brûlée just got here…. Just WOW. So so good!!!!!! No idea how long ago: Came early for a long overdue lunch date with the hubby. Sat at the bar and had Monica as our bartender. She’s the BEST!!!!! Makes an awesome old fashioned. We had fish n chips (a mistake they made right), catfish, and the stone mountain burger that as always was just excellent. Even as busy as Monica was (and she was SWAMPED) she took such great care of us and we really appreciated it! Will keep coming back! Also I forgot to take pics till I started writing this. It here’s a smoked Bulliet old fashioned.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. The drinks were amazing, even the homemade lemonade. The menu is full of options for anyone’s palate. The first thing our server Lanie asked us is if we have any allergies so I appreciated the attention to detail. She then took us through the menu and explained how it was organized and answered all of our questions. We got the GIANT onion rings with horseradish sauce for an appetizer, and we both got the ribeye steaks for our entree. I added grilled shrimp to mine. The steaks were cooked perfectly and topped herbed butter. The shrimp had a nice grilled flavor to them. We chose different sides. My husband got the mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. They were both delicious. I got the grit cake and green beans. I didn’t care for my sides and neither did my husband. The green beans were still raw, and the grit cake was too salty and picked up the taste of the oil. I gave them to my 16 yr old son who will eat anything when we got home and he said the same thing about them. We will definitely return but I will choose different sides next time. We were too full for dessert but will try next time. Over all it was a great experience and we spent $139 before tip and then tipped 22%.

**The end of the review is a edit. First time eating here on my birthday... wow. The food, drinks, and service was amazing! My waitress was Sarah, and she was one of the best servers I had in a very long time. Very kind, friendly, timely, and helpful! I have food allergies so I had to accommodate my order. She went back to the kitchen to ask about everything I needed to know before ordering my food. Tip: if you have dairy and soy allergies, you can still eat here! My family and I had different appetizers, ordered drinks, and had different entrees. The wings, eggrolls, and mozzarella sticks were our apps. We were all satisfied! The chili thai sauce was delicious on the wings and egg rolls! My mother had two top shelf margaritas because they were BOMB, my niece ordered three cocktails, and were all nicely presented and good, and we went on the Wine Down Wednesday night. But MY food! I had the Pasta Primavera w/ salmon, no parmesan and no lemon butter (tossed in garlic and olive oil instead). Needless to say, it was SO freaking good! When we come back that's what my family all wants to try! We will be back! *For birthday people, you do get a special treat! - - - **Updated 3/15/22 I really enjoyed myself the first time I came to Props. So I decided to try them again—the EXACT SAME MEAL. This time it was about the first week of February or so at approximately 3:45pm. I did an online order for the same meal, plus a sandwich for my mom. We got a call about 10 minutes later saying that they couldn’t modify my order to accommodate my allergies. I wanted to leave off the lemon butter for just olive oil. I told them I came here in December and did it! I asked to speak to the kitchen manager or owner, but I didn’t. The hostess on the phone asked for me , and told me that the owner said they couldn’t change the meal and that they didn’t have any olive oil. (🤔) I let it go and we were going to get the other meal, but I called back and changed my mind so we were refunded our money. I was very disappointed because I was able to have my meal modified for me the first time I came. With this encounter it was like it was a complete new thing. I don’t know if they changed owners, managers, or kitchen rules, but I changed my review from 5 stars to 3 because of this. The food is still good, but this just didn’t sit well with me! How are you going to flip the script like that? Maybe because it was an online order versus dine in, either way I felt like it could have been handled better.

Mixed Feelings at Props Steak and Seafood Restaurant 1/18/2025 I recently visited Props Steak and Seafood Restaurant, a place I chose based on its promising menu and appealing ambiance. As someone who travels extensively and dines out frequently for work, I have a fair benchmark for what to expect in terms of service and quality. Food: The dishes served at Props were satisfactory. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was appealing, indicating a kitchen that cares about the quality of its output. Service: Unfortunately, the service did not meet the same standards. Despite the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, the wait time for our meal was notably long. This was surprising and quite disappointing, given that efficient service is something I've come to expect based on my dining experiences across various states and towns. Overall Experience: While the quality of the food was acceptable, the prolonged wait significantly dampened the overall dining experience. For a restaurant of Props Steak and Seafood’s caliber, I expected a more streamlined service. It’s crucial for a dining establishment to respect the time of its patrons, especially when they choose to dine in a setting that promises a premium experience. I hope to see improvements in service times at Props. A more coordinated approach could make this restaurant a solid recommendation for both locals and travelers seeking a pleasant dining experience without the frustration of unnecessary delays. I was here for a college graduate's celebration dinner. It was my 1st visit. I had been wanting a good steak. I asked our waitress, Melissa, how are the steaks here. She said they were very good, and she stands by them. I am sometimes very leary of ordering steaks from these restaurants that specializes in "Steaks". Ive had too many bad experiences, as I did with this one. But, after getting Melissa's opinion on their steaks, I ordered this $43, 12 oz. "Ribeye Delmonico" that stated it was a juicy ribeye, seasoned to perfection. I asked that it be cooked well done. I received my steak. The waitress, not Melissa, did not sit it in front of me. She sat it in between me, and the person I was sitting next to. Just looking at it, it looked dry, burnt and overcooked. I cut into it, it definitely was not juicy or "seasoned to perfection". In fact I could barely taste the seasoning. I could taste the burnt part. I told Melissa TWICE that it was burnt, and overcooked. She did not offer another steak, management or anything. She actually giggled the 2nd time. I guess because she told me they were very good. For me, and experience of these type places, its better to order an appetizer as a meal, or something they don't specialize in (Steak and Seafood). The seating was too compact. We had to add more tables ourselves to be comfortable. This is my review, from my experience. I don't recommend the steak. PROPS doesn't get any props from me for this visit!!!!

Owner was not welcoming at all. Never smiled or greeted us. As our group of 8 got seated, I was taking a selfie video and noticed how she stood and stared at my family while our backs were turned. The food was basic and not worth the price. I requested well done and when I cut it in half and took a bite, my burger was still mooing. We had a reservation for 10 but two people were running less than 5 minutes behind due to traffic and were not allowed to join. The owner stated that “all members have to be seated at the same time.” So God forbid there is a traffic jam or any other uncontrollable inconvenience. We asked that they be granted five more minutes to make it but they refused. We never were greeted with a smile or thanked for patronizing the business. She did ask for the two chairs that were empty to add to someone else’s table so I’m not sure why our two guests couldn’t come in. This “policy” was unbeknownst before making the reservation and we only stayed because there was a $250 charge if we “left without ordering” or making a cancellation. All in all, the food is not worth it and not seasoned. I would not return even if the service was good. I’m sure she’s not too fond of the darker crowd if you get what I mean. P.S. smile more, frowns will only cause more wrinkling.
