Canāt rate the food since I didnāt even get to try it, but I sure can rate the service. Didnāt have any cash on me so I left. Thatās not as big of a problem as the service was, although I would suggest putting the sign on the front door and not on the exit door? I had never tried the place before, but itās nearby to the Kroger I shop at, so I went in with my 2 year old in tow hoping to grab a bagel with cream cheese to go. Walked in and had no clue how to order... so I hopped in the cashier line about 5 people back and I figured the cashier could help me out. When it was my turn, I explained to her that it was my first time and that I just wanted a bagel to go. She immediately started chastising me for not understanding the process in an incredibly rude tone... told me that next time I need to get in the line on the other side of the restaurant that had formed while I was waiting in the cashier line. I explained this to her and she didnāt seem to care at all. At some point after this exchange, I was warned that they didnāt take card and I excused myself and left. If you donāt want to put up an āorder hereā and āpay hereā sign, at least donāt be rude when a new customer comes in and doesnāt understand how to order to go. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been here twice - once when packed to the gills with people, and once when it was empty. The friendly service and food were phenomenal both times.
The food portions are HUGE. My son had French toast, and could only finish 1 out of the 3 pieces. He told the chef this morning it was the best heād ever tasted. I asked to try a sample of something, and they gave me a huge portion - more than what I would normally eat in general, let alone a sample! The sesame bagel my other children and I ate, with Lox salmon, was amazing.
They donāt take cards - either cash or check - which is actually pretty refreshing. They have a sign on the front door. I can see why some might be frustrated, but think about it: if they keep their operating costs low they keep their food high quality, well priced, and take care of their staff.
Iāll keep returning to this place - itās friendly, fresh food, clean, and well priced. And a cool atmosphere. Keep doing what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe wifey insisted on coming here before an appointment, and as a big fan of fresh, non-industrial bagels, I easily agreed! Although I prefer a bagel egg sandwich for breakfast, I was down for the omelet. We arrived Monday 8 AM, and it was pretty empty save for a big group of retirees, which meant we got our order in and out very quickly in time for the appointment. They had some chairs and tables out so we enjoyed the hot bfast outside in the crisp autumn air. The potatoes were delicious, seasoned right, and hot, and the bagel was fresh tasting and toasted, with strawberry cream cheese that was not too sweet. Unfortunately the veggie (green peppers with onions) omelet was a letdown. Clearly eggs from a tetra pack, as in pre mixed eggs, are used, and the texture was flat and thin, and it tasted of nothing. It didn't have any seasoning. Next time I'll be getting the fried eggs and hoping they are...
