I regularly order from this PJ location and haven’t experienced any issues whether it was a delivery or carry-out. But I placed a carry-out order over the phone around 6:50 PM on 1/8/2021 and given an estimate of 15-25 minute for readiness. Typical.
I arrived at location around 7:20 and there was a new employee at the cashier undergoing training (it appeared). That’s cool, but I was told my order would take another 5 minutes. I’ve never had this experience at this location. (Typically, if I arrive at the end of the estimate, my pizza is usually getting cold). But I had to wait at least another 15 minutes. I almost left but magically a pizza arrived.
When I asked if they entered a new order when I arrived or if that order was the one I placed at ~6:50, they didn’t answer me. I looked at the box and the order time was 7:22PM. Couldn’t be straight with me - terrible customer service this time!
Then, to make the experience more unpleasant, I asked for ranch dipping sauce which has always been provided upon request, and I was told that it was 91 cents. Again, this was a first at this location. It’s not the money, but the lack of empathy for the customer in this instance, realizing you lost my order and essentially lied about how long it would take for my order to be ready. The very least you can do is provide dipping sauce in these instances. It’s those little things that can change a customer’s experience - which ultimately works to retaining regular customers.
The experience was a failure at every turn and I never had this happen before. I usually order every few weeks from this location. It’s weird how 1 bad experience like this can change your purchasing habits - it’s very likely I will order elsewhere in the...
Read moreI made an online order from this store. Then I called in to tell them to use "clean cutter". The lady answered the phone started asking me "what did I order, how much did I pay, what coupon did I use, etc..". I answered all these questions patiently even though I know it is not necessary. All she needs to do is learn the customer name and write on the ticket 'use clean cutter'. She was so rude with me, telling me the total didn't match, even with the coupons I used it won't be $17.12, etc.. So I was telling her why don't you take a pen and then write it on the ticket, why is it so complicated and why does she need all these information because it is paid online. She kept arguing with me, telling me it is Saturday it will be so hard for her to find my order and she needs all these info. So wasting all these time on the phone with her while I was heading to the store, I was over there already. So I went to store and talked with another employee and she was nice and took care of this in a minute, the lady that was arguing with me comes and still trying to argue with me at the store. I worked at Papa John's 1.5 years and another pizza chain for 5 years myself and this type of requests are easy to handle, it is not a rocket since. But this type of employees are not capable of doing their job and instead of taking care of customer's request, they choose to argue with the customer. The lady I talked with at this store shouldn't be communicating with customers. And I really thank the blonde lady up front for apologizing for the other lady's rudeness and taking care of this...
Read moreTerrible experience with delivery. I did not realize that Papa Johns uses Door Dash for over 80% of its deliveries. This info was given to me by the employee I spoke to when I called to let them know part of our order was missing and that the delivery person refused to help in any way in either making a separate trip to to bring it back or even call the store to see what could be done. Every other pizza place I have ordered from, the driver will always bring something back to us if that's what we want, without hesitating. But I supposedly that's because they're employees and not Door Dash drivers. To add to it, the food was actually cold and needed to be heated up in order for us to eat it, and then part of the order was missing. The only good thing was the employee who helped me. She was super nice and was able to refund my money for the missing item. She let me know about the deliveries being by Door Dash and how many complaints they receive because of that at this particular store and another store she's worked at locally. In randomly speaking to a neighbor about this, she said they really liked Papa Johns pizza but haven't ordered from them in over a year because of the delivery service. Sadly, this will be the last time I order Papa Johns since there's not a Papa Johns store that's convenient for me to place a...
